Gotham - Episode 1.05 - Viper
A NEW STREET DRUG STORMS THE STREETS OF GOTHAM ON AN ALL-NEW "GOTHAM" MONDAY, OCTOBER 20, ON FOX Gordon and Bullock search for the source of a new street drug that causes euphoria then death. Meanwhile, Oswald Cobblepot works his way deeper into Maroni's (guest-star David Zayas) inner circle and Fish Mooney continues to plot against Falcone in the all-new "Viper" episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, Oct. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GTH-105) (TV-14 D, L, S, V)

Based upon characters published by DC Entertainment and produced by Warner Bros. Television, GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. Starring Ben McKenzie ("Southland," "The O.C."), Donal Logue ("Sons of Anarchy," "Terriers," "Vikings," "Copper") and Jada Pinkett Smith ("The Matrix" films, "HawthoRNe"), GOTHAM follows one cop's rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time. Executive producer Bruno Heller ("The Mentalist") wrote the pilot, which was directed and executive-produced by Emmy Award nominee Danny Cannon (the "CSI" franchise, "Nikita"). John Stephens will serve as an executive producer on the series.

That does sound a bit like proto-Venom.

I'll watch the next episode and then decide wether I quit the show or not. "Gotham Origins: Penguin" kinda rules, but I find they're putting too much distracting shit in Pengi's show to make it worth my while. :(

Yeah. Don't listen to him. One time Rusty told me that sniffing glue makes you retarded. And here I am. Being normal. Guess he wasn't being rightful with the truth about being right about that, was he?

Bane really. This is starting to get ridiculous. Penguin is the best things going right now.

They shouldn't do all of Batman's villains. 1 or 2 works, every single one in the first season as well. Doesn't look good for the future.

Probably a Venom prototype (i.e. users die within hours).
It would be cool though if there was a Bane easter egg in one episode.
Maybe a quick shot of a kid in a prison with a teddy bear, lol.

they did mention in the episode that the viper serum is the early stages of a venom project or something along those lines.

i don't see them doing bane in season one. this season is all penguin for sure! then nigma is going to do something for an episode or 2, but it won't be revealed to gordan that it's nigma. calling it.
