GOTHAM: Synopsis For "The Mask" May Hint At How 'Harvey Dent' Will Make His Debut

The November 10 episode of Fox's Batman prequel series will see the introduction of Nicholas D’Agosto as Harvey Dent, who will of course eventually become the villainous Two-Face. Fans were wondering how this character would be introduced, and we might get an idea here...

Obviously this version of Harvey Dent is quite a bit older than Bruce Wayne in the show, so clearly they won't be depicted as being school friends. But, could Dent be this "new friend" that Bruce meets when he returns to school? It's unclear why an assistant DA would be hanging around a school, (my guess is he's visiting Bruce because he knew his parents) but it would serve the purpose of forming a connection between he and Bruce for later down the line at least. Of course, that friend may not be Dent at all, but it seems strange that such a major new character from Batman lore wouldn't be mentioned anywhere else in the synopsis. Also, could the guy running the fight club be "The Mask" of the title? And could that Mask actually be Black Mask? Okay, bit of s stretch, but ya never know!

With all the popularity comicbooks are getting, maybe one day we'll get a "Mask" movie again, maybe rooted in the Dark Horse comic, were the story was a lot darkened humour and downright frightening at parts

Ugh this show is nothing but a money grab, they aren't even trying to get the Batman mythos correct at this point, not...even....trying.

"What's altruism?!" This week's episode was such an improvement. Still hate Fish Mooney though.

@Sortis When did that ever stopped the movies? Also the Batman mythos has changed several times in the comics as well.

@Dmon Some things changed, but a lot stayed the same. Remember that comic when Harvey Dent was 20+ years older than Bruce? Yeah me either lol

Yeah movies have taken a few liberties (I don't care for Nolan's films), but nothing compared to this show. Jim Gordon being from Gotham (wrong), Sarah Essex's entire character (wrong), Bullock's entire character (wrong), and that's just for starters. There are so many things this show jumps off the tracks for I can't watch it...I tried with the first 3 episodes.

I figured "I like cop shows and I like comic books, how could it go wrong?" Well it doesn't do either kind of show well that's how. There are cop shows out there that are 10x better Blue Bloods chief among them, and comic book shows 10x better Arrow chief among those. It tries to be too many things and just ends up being awful at both of them. That's why I feel the way I do.

The friend I would think is most likely Thomas Elliott. I know they haven't adressed the actor that would play him yet, but I mean its more sensible than harvey dent hanging around the school.

Soooo... 34 year old Dent & 12 year old Bruce Wayne... so say next 15 years Bruce becomes Batman, Dent will be 49. Ok, gotcha!

The actor playing Dent is 34, so unless they're actually playing the character in his say mid-20s. Cuz the guy does look pretty young.... kinda like Ben Affleck. He's playing Bruce Wane in his mid-40s, & Affleck is close to that age but looks pretty good for it. Hence the reason why they probly felt the need to add sm gray hair to make him look older
