In what many would call a rare move (specially if done on social media), Marvel's Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D. star & comedian Patton Oswald praises DC's recent hit show "GOTHAM" in a lenghty twitter exchange with none other than the Penguin himself Robin Lord Taylor.

Oswald start by talking about the show itself in a rather joking fashion, but then changed the tone to a more serious conversation as he began talking about how they should change the focus of the show and then tagging multiple stars of the show and getting deep into the show's mytho and even mentioning the comics.

Bellow are some screen caps from the tweets by the Marvel star.

It appear's Mr. Oswald is a vivid DC, Penguin or Gotham fan and it was really classy of him to praise the young Robin like that as his career is taking off. This should be a lesson to you all that Marvel & DC fans can be also Marvel & DC FRIENDS.

You can catch DC's hit new show "GOTHAM" Monday's on FOX at 8 Pm and  Marvel's "Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D." Tuesday's on ABC at 9 Pm

Love Robin Lord Taylor's reaction! Definitely nice to see this rather than the usual fanboy crap.

For a guy that doesn't care about Marvel, you sure care about what their actors say

Penguin is the best part of this show... Oswald is right.

They need to stop showing Bruce so much, the whole point of this show is that there is no batman.. why tease something you're not going to deliver... They should have him in the show twice per season TOPS.

What the show has going for them is that they only have villains, and one well meaning boy scout who can't actually change anything. Sounds familiar, cough**game of thrones**cough..

The whole fun of this show would be to watch the villains all try and fight for control of Gotham and have them all make shifting alliances and stabbing each other in the back..etc. Give the audience mixed feelings about who to root for.

Robin Lord Taylor is great in this role. You can see how Danny DeVito's approach to the Penguin has inspired his.

And yes, sooner or later DC is gonna pull a prequel comic where the Penguin is exactly like this when he's young. Pretty much what Marvel does each time a new movie based on their stuff comes out.

This is such a weak attempt at trolling. But it's coming from @DCGuy , so I'm not surprised.

The show doesn't need to change anything. It's perfect just the way it is...

But yes, Robin Lord Taylor is a spectacular Penguin. Soon to surpass even Danny Devito I believe...

@DCGuy Patton Oswald is actually a huge DC fan. He actually played the penguin on stage and wrote a paper about why he should be hired to play the joker. Also a great supporter of the Ben Affleck casting

I really don't know why they interrupt the awesome show "Gotham: Rise of the Penguin" with this bland "good cop". I mean, do we really need to see this guy gossip about everything that's on his mind with this rich kid and his butler each episode?

Patton Oswalt should have been the Penguin.

thing is, Penguin is literally the star of the show. Taylor is amazing in the role and just brings new life to the character.

lol at Patton Oswald being a "marvel star". He works with pretty much everyone. The title is such a click bait.

Wouldn't really consider Patton Oswalt a "Marvel Star"...
Spock0Clock
Spock0Clock - 10/15/2014, 6:47 AM
Oswalt cuts straight to the quick about what works in Gotham and what doesn't. Even though I don't care for the show, Robin Lord Taylor is stellar.

They really should make the show just about Gotham's underworld with Gordon and the GCPD as supporting characters.
