New GOTHAM Featurettes; "Bruce Wayne & Alfred Pennyworth" And "Selina Kyle"

Fox have released two new character focused featurettes for Gotham with one focusing on 12 year-old Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and his unflappable butler, Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) and the another putting the spotlight on the future Catwoman, Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova).

Before there was Batman, there was GOTHAM. Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world’s greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker? GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told.

There's some great new footage in both of the above videos, though even more interesting are the interviews with the actors bringing early versions of these iconic character to life on the small screen in Gotham. I've definitely gotten the vibe so far that Selina Kyle already has her Cat abilities in Gotham.

I warned my boss not to bet on the Pats tonight. I [frick]ing warned him that their defense and O-line are atrocious. Should've listened to me.

@SKone That's one of my major gripes with the show. All the characters are already acting like their future selves:

Ivy Pepper already has an interest in botany, Edward Nygma has a thing for riddles, Oswald Cobblepot gets made fun of for being like a penguin, etc.

They hit you upside the head with the references. They need to be more subtle. At this rate, by the time Bruce is in high school, all those people will be supervillains already.

This show is [frick]ing horrible.

Literally only good thing about this is Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue and one or two other actors. Penguin actor too. The writing is bad, the editing is complete shit, and the directing ranges from good to awful. Seriously they are moving way too fast with a lot of this and there's no room to breathe. The tone is also all over the place.

Hope it improves like Arrow did but the inclusion of an actor superhero made me more lenient. Also there's nothing to compare it too. Batman Begins is so superior to this it's insane.

@blackandyellow:

The Pats are killing me! What gets me the most heated is Brady is at his post game press conference with heavily gelled hair and acting like it's just a unfortunate game tonight.

I guess people think Batman would have learned everything he did only when he was grown. Gymnasts, martial artists, even Carnegie Hall musicians...Mastery starts at a young age. But to be as good as Batman gets, to know as much as he knows...it would take a lifetime. And of course there's all the themes about his childhood being over the moment his parents where gunned down, and "Bruce Wayne" in theory, is already gone forever.
The show's approach right now with young Bruce is pretty interesting to me. And I like the kid playing him. I think he "gets it"

Selena I'm a little more iffy on. The girl seems sweet, but a little clueless.

Bruce Wayne should quit being a goodie two shoe little bitch eating cookies talkin about donating clothes and be a disturbed little badass orphan who's too difficult so he gets sent to boarding school.
