Reason For Recent "Queen Consolidated" Logo In GOTHAM Revealed; Will They Share Villains?

Eagle eyed fans recently spotted the Queen Consolidated logo in Gotham City's skyline, and producer Danny Cannon reveals how that came about right here. Arrow's Marc Guggenheim meanwhile clears up whether the Dollmaker being on Gotham is leading to more "crossovers" with Arrow!

Despite the fact that Arrow and Gotham are on different networks and seemingly set in very different periods of time, speculation that the two worlds will somehow interact hasn't stopped (especially after the Queen Consolidated logo was spotted in the latter show's second episode). Bear in mind that Wayne Industries has been referenced in The Flash, but executive producer Marc Guggenheim still had no idea how this Arrow Easter Egg came about when asked by MTV News. "You know, it’s a great question!" he told the site in a recent interview. "The internet did point out to me the Queen Consolidated [logo] – or what looked like a Queen consolidated Easter egg. I’m still actually trying to find out how intentional that was. Let me just say the investigation is ongoing."

However, Gotham producer Danny Cannon did have some answers, but they may disappoint you! "I gotta tell you, it was completely unintentional. Somebody spotted it in the cutting room, but we move so fast, we were like, ‘that’s cool, leave it in! don’t talk about it!’ We were stealing – the visual effects guys were stealing neon letters from other places, and that was one that worked. But it was unintentional." There's that solved then, but what about The Dollmaker recently making an appearance in Gotham after also being featured in Arrow? They're the same guy, right? Wrong. "Well I think that is very clearly an example of not a crossover," Guggenheim confirmed. "That was a completely different take on the Dollmaker character from the comics than we had last year. So that was a completely separate occurrence." What do you guys think?

Knowing DC fanboys, they'll probably come up with some reason why keeping them separate is a good idea.

Who to say its Queen Consolidated? It could be the real logo Queen Industries instead? That's the real comic book name. Plus it would make sense if it's QI because Robert and Laura would be alive, in this universe.

Even when the creators come right out and admit it was unintentional we're still going to have fanboys speculate like crazy.

That was put there on purpose that wasn't an accident. They know how fans are and they knew that someone would catch it. Of all the letters and logos to use they chose the Queen Consolidated logo. I think Robert and Moira could appear on Gotham at some point with a young Oliver. This was no accident

So you guys still want them connect despite having two different versions of the same character?

I can understand not being able to have shows on different networks connected. okay I get it. But having the tv shows are a great way to intro characters instead of wasting time in the movies explaining back story.

My only 2 real problems are cameos for no reason (like Ivy in Ep 1 of Gotham) and a perfect place to use a comic character or item and not.

So another reason to dislike Gotham? They didn't even realize they were stealing from their own properties?

I don't believe in the mixing of the shows.

I didn't even notice the Queen Consolidated logo in episode 2; it doesn't seem like anyone ever mentioned it. As far as the dollmaker goes, I knew it was just two unconnected versions of the same villain, IDK what everyone started screaming crossover for. At the very best in Gotham, we might see young versions of other DC characters start to make cameos eventually, but they won't be connected to Arrow.

@HAILHYDRA,

"Knowing DC fanboys, they'll probably come up with some reason why keeping them separate is a good idea."

Crisis.

That's not just "some" reason. That's THE reason...
