On Thursday, West was attending the Javits Center convention to celebrate the upcoming Blu Ray/DVD release of his Batman television series. When asked about Gotham the TV icon had only nice things to say.

The 86 year old actor also gives his opinions on various Bat-questions.  He starts to talk about Gotham at around the 2:20 mark.

From what I've read, Adam West was actually a good actor. I'd guess the TV show ruined his career due to typecasting...

@mediaman actually it made him a legend and a lot of money. He got roles and is in current media like family guy and fairly odd parents due to the fact that he was batman and the people of the aforementioned shows grew up with his voice and character

@GuardianAngel

I was actually just thinking about this today. Marvel has their Stan Lee cameos. DC needs someone. Adam West was the first person that came to mind.

lol, no worries. If Gotham was a prequel to 66 that would be nonsense. Awesome nonsense though.

Adam West's Batman is the ONE Batman whom I'd like to see Bane break

As a kid, I enjoyed the heck out of the 60s Batman. After all, he was (and still is) my favourite superhero at the time... As a teen I became annoyed at how campy and ridiculous it was. As an adult, and understanding that it was meant to be a comedy, I can appreciate it for what it was and the enjoyment I once had as a child returned. Adam West was great as Batman.
favourite line... "Somedays you just can't get rid of a bomb."

@ GuardianAngel,
I've often wondered how Adam West hadn't gotten a small role in any of the 7 Batman movies after his time too.
