While the annual DC TV crossovers have always been crowd-pleasers, they've rarely been the best episodes of their respective seasons as the four shows somewhat awkwardly come together for essentially extended cameos in lackluster plotlines that have really lacked any sort of real substance in years past with some of the bigger heroes frequently getting sidelined while inconsequential supporting players take the spotlight.

However, having said that, it looks like this season's special event may actually deliver on the lofty expectations set by the network as Supergirl, The Flash, the Green Arrow, and all of the Legends join forces to take on the wedding crashing villains of Earth-X. It fortunately doesn't spill any spoilers, but we do get nice reveal on Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller), who now calls himself Citizen Cold.

The CW just released the synopsis for Part 1 and Part 2, which are coincidentally exactly the same, save for the change in writers. Check them out below:

SUPERGIRL

“Crisis on Earth X, Part 1” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

THE EPIC FOUR-WAY CROSSOVER WITH “ARROW,” “SUPERGIRL,” “THE FLASH” AND “DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW” BEGINS — Barry (guest star Grant Gustin) and Iris’s (guest star Candice Patton) wedding brings the gang together, but things go awry when villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super friends like Citizen Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), The Ray (guest star Russell Tovey), Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards), Iris West and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) to take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin) and White Canary (guest star Caity Lotz) – lead their teams into battle to save the world. Larry Teng directed the episode with story by Andrew Kreisberg & Marc Guggenheim and teleplay by Robert Rovner & Jessica Queller (#308). Original airdate 11/27/2017.

ARROW

Can't wait for this. These events may be throw away filler, but they have proper JLU vibes. Only time I can stomach Supergirl is in these crossovers.

Let's get ready to rumble.

I like how they are keeping most details under wraps too.

So they have help from 'Super friends' Iris and Felicity, but what about, yano, their actual super friends like Wally, Elongated Man, Guardian(meh), Superman, Martian Manhunter, Constantine, Vixen?

GAThrawnIGF - 11/10/2017, 5:10 PM
@Armageddon26 - Pretty sure Vixen is included in the LoT lineup, unless you mean Arrow's Vixen. Also, Wally quit the superhero scene, so there's that.

@GAThrawnIGF - Wally didn’t quit being a hero, he quit trying to compete with Flash in Central City. And even if he had that is a weak excuse to not call for all the help you could get, he’d be there in a second. And I meant Arrow’s Vixen

So Wally just goes to Blue Valley and doesn't come back for his sister's wedding??

Directed by James Bamford? He was a stuntman in X-Men 2, he also played Gambit in one scene but this scene was cut and deleted
