Lexi Alexander took it to Twitter earlier today to confirm that she would direct an upcoming episode of CBS' Supergirl. Of course, the news are not 100% official yet, but this twitter exchange make it seem more than plausible. It is not yet known which episode Alexander is going to direct.

Lexi Alexander will be familiar to comic book fans for directing the well-received Arrow Season 4 episode ”Beyond Redemption” and the extremely gory Punisher: War Zone that has been slowly gathering a cult-audience.  She has earlier expressed strong interest in directing Ms. Marvel, even offering to forego her director's fee if she was allowed to direct. Though, it looks like she is happy utilizing her talents for DC for the time being.

Lexi Alexander is a great, stylistic director. I find SUPERGIRL to be mediocre at the moment but if anyone can elevate the material, it's Alexander.

I though both the 2004 and 2008 PUNISHER films were under-rated. However, I dislike the 1989 film. It really didn't feel like a PUNISHER film, it was strangely boring considering its premise and it was highly overshadowed by BATMAN '89.
