It looks like The Girl of Steel (Melissa Benoist) is going to have her hands full when Supergirl flies back onto our screens, as the fifth season of the DC TV series has now added another pair of villains.
According to Deadline, Cara Buono (Stranger Things) has signed on to play Gamemnae, "an ancient alien whose aim is to use technology to subjugate humans." In addition, former X-Files alum Mitch Pileggi will play another powerful extra terrestrial baddie named Rama Khan. He's described as being "arrogant and willful," with the power to control the four ancient elements — fire, water, earth, and air.
These characters first popped up in the pages of JLA back in 2002, although they were originally introduced as enemies of Atlantis.
Supergirl returns on October 6.
