AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Quake Reportedly Getting A New Origin Story For Rumored MCU Debut

We have some intriguing new details about potential plans for Chloe Bennet's Quake in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it sounds like the character will be getting a whole new Inhuman-less origin story.

No matter how you felt about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., there's no denying that the show introduced a lot of great characters. Chloe Bennet's Quake was among them, and while her journey from Skye to Dasiy Johnson was more than a little convoluted, she's one Agent fans would love to see show up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As of right now, it's still unclear how Marvel Studios plans to treat the Marvel Television characters and TV shows they've inherited after that division was brought under their "Marvel Studios Television" banner.

We've seen Daredevil and The Kingpin return with the same actors, but there's been no indication that Marvel Studios will keep their respective histories intact. It's hard to imagine Kevin Feige being beholden to creative decisions he didn't make, and we need look no further than the rebooted Darkhold in WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness for proof.

Now, though, we may have some clarification. Reliable insider KC Walsh recently responded to a Tweet from one of social media's many self-proclaimed scoopers reading, "Feige and [company] are treating Agents of S.HI.E.L.D. as another universe. Daisy in 616 will have a new origin...However, aspects of her [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.] story will be incorporated as a nod to all of the diehard fans. The creative team behind [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.] gave their blessing."

To that, Walsh said, "For the people who need to hear it, this is essentially how they explain the inclusion of the Netflix characters as well."

This was to be expected, and seems like a smart approach moving forward. A mixture of new and returning actors for these Marvel Television characters feels like the best possible way to handle them; as for Bennet, she's heavily rumoured to be making her MCU debut imminently and potentially in Secret Invasion

For what it's worth, the actor has strongly denied having any involvement in that project. We're hoping to see her again sooner rather than later, though, as there's a lot Quake could bring to the table in the MCU...and yes, we wouldn't be remotely surprised if this version's origin story will make her a mutant rather than an Inhuman.

Are you hoping to see Daisy Johnson in the MCU?

Lame. Coulson would be the only one anyone wanted to see back in the MCU. Quake screen, it's a slave is a little too overdramatic. She started to get annoying. This is unnecessary. But they need more females for some reason, so whatever. Can't wait until we get it off female Avengers movie that no one watches and then they try to blame the majority of the male fans. That's not going to work much longer. Even these soy bro feminine types will get tired of it when their lady friends eventually tell him they're not going to sleep with him.

@JackRussoff3 - This comment is very dumb. And misogynistic. More females aren’t a bad thing. It’s how they’re handled and made sure they’re not made pandering that’s important. And don’t worry. There are far more male heroes still than female. Also. I’m married. And my wife appreciates that I love and value her. So…your future isn’t looking great when it comes to women if that’s how you respond to adding a SINGLE female character.

@pmackattack - a single one? Every single Disney show. Every single one either introduced a female character or they were the star. Except for tonight. Oh wait. She's the real star as well.

I'm married bro. Comic books@mail dominated demographic. It's not even close. I'm just trying to help them make money. Just stop with the messaging and girl power bullshit. Everything wrong strong female characters. The MCU just doesn't really have any. They are all overpowered. Kate Bishop taking on those Russians was particularly laughable

I bet you don't like that black widow took on the flying fortress in her movie either. It's a COMICBOOKMOVIE. Nobody can do the feats these men and women can do. Would you enjoy the movie more if these women were beaten down and then saved by a man superhero?

If your alleged wife had to save you, would you resent her the rest of your life?

You were probably raised in a masculine household where women were second rung under the dominant hand of your father. I don't blame you for how you were taught but times HAVE changed. Your way of thinking is that of a dinosaur. What I speak is the truth. Not meant to put you down. I feel for you and just think you need to change

@Vigor - oh how you people just entertain me day after day with your assumptions...

I was raised by a single mother.

Alleged wife? Hardly. But cracks me up about you people. You have to tear down someone you don't even know.

I was in the Army. My wife couldn't save me because I'm stronger and bigger than her and trained. It's just genetics. Sorry.

I need you to feel for me. But I love how everybody needs to change to fit your worldview.

But if you want to open up this to personal attacks? We can see what the moderators have to say. I could have had you struck for that. I don't do that. I like you, I believe in free flow of opinion.

Have a nice day

@Vigor - didn't see the Black widow movie. It was about 6 years too late. The trailer looked lame. Scarlett Johansson is a bland actress. Never been a fan

@Vigor - This dude is a goon. He literally tried telling me he "could find me if he wanted to." Wannabe Liam Neeson.

I was in the Air Force (2001-2007) and know JUST the type of person he is. Gets a couple stripes and thinks he's a badass.
