Is this the identity of G.H from AOS? SPOILERS!!!

Who I believe G.H from the "Tahiti" episode of AOS is.

Editorial Opinion

Now this will be a short editorial, and one of my first so go easy on me.

I know not nearly half as much as most the users on this site will know about the Marvel universe, but I think all the evidence points to the G.H "alien" at the end of the last episode of Agents of Shield being an Atlantean.

Now, if this has already been theorized then let me know in the comments and I'll remove the article, just I couldn't find on the site regarding it. So here goes.

1. The being is submerged in water (figures!)

2. Check out those white markings on the body. At first I thought it may be on the glass surrounding the Atlantean but as you can see from the first image it's clearly on it's chest.

3. The long fingers / Nails. As you can see from the images below the Atlanteans have long-ish nails in the comics, also something to note one notable Atlantean as shown in the image below is called "Govan". Could this be the G in G.H? If so what could the H stand for?

Lastly a small point to make, the Atlanteans are a genetic offshoot of Humans, and as you can see this being has the same anatomy, and by the looks of it internal organs as a human, perhaps why they specifically showed half the body including organs?

Anyway that's my theory, and I'm sticking by it!!

Let me know what you think/correct me in the comments!

Atlantean or Kree, but likely Atlantean. The Kree send androids first.

1. The being is submerged in water (figures!)

It could just as easily be any other transparent liquid being used to preserve the thing.

2. Check out those white markings on the body.

Interesting. I'll give you that one.

3. The long fingers / Nails

I can't tell if those are nails or bone creeping out from under rotted/damaged flesh. Also, plenty of other alien races have long nails/claws.

...you can see this being has the same anatomy...

Yes, but it's HUGE. According tot he Marvel wiki, Atlanteans are 4 to 7 feet tall -- pretty much like humans. This thing is a beast, though. Much larger than a human -- unless the glass enclosure and liquid are making it look bigger than it is.

I think i agree with Atlantean idea... i know there is some dispute over Namor's rights.

But did anyone catch that the guard was named "Bob"... maybe Bob Agent of HYDRA!?.. HYDRA/Nazi's well known for experimenting on Atlantean corpses.

@WorstFanEver Never considered the size of it! Good points on the nails too.

@0megaDaGod Good spot on the gills I never saw that either! Looks like they've given the body an autopsy and had a look at those gills!

I hope it's Atlantean but more than likely he is a Kree as a connector to GOTG

It would make more sense for it to be a Kree, since we're going to be seeing a lot of them in less than 5 months from now
Since Namor isn't even in marvel studio lap to get into production, I don't think they just pop with a major thing like that

@JoJo
The Kree send glorified probe droids - the Living Sentries, to check out whatever. If there was anything Kree, we'd be seeing them first.

A good guess but the only thing that makes me think it's not Atlantean are the ears. They aren't pointed and that's a common trait among Atlanteans. I'm still going with Kree.

I don't see gills.

It could be water, it could also be some other liquid.

What most prevents me from buying the Atlantean thing: no pointy ears.

Also, why would Atlantean blood/material heal or enhance a human? Is there precedent of that in the comics?
ForMeToPoopOn
ForMeToPoopOn - 3/5/2014, 3:01 PM
As far as studio rights to characters, isn't that limited to film, and not TV? I was under the impression that Marvel had TV rights to the entire universe.

Either way, I'm firmly in the "Not Atlantean" camp.

Al this Atlantean talk is making me more mad at universal studios for not getting Namor movie out there, so we can see more Namor in the MCU

How sure are we at this point that the healing serum was coming out of the alien/atlantean instead of going into him, keeping him alive?

I have a theory that the tube being is actually an inhuman. Aos has had some hints to lead me to that assumption, first being as Skye is referred to as a 0-8-4 found in China. Not a far stretch to Attilan which is often in the Himalayas. Plus with the fact most of us believe scarlet witch and quicksilver will be inhumans in avengers do to no mutants it's not hard to believe hey would want to introduce the species in the show to save movie time. Now I believe the gh will be a form of the terrigan mists which would be part of the genetic makeup of all inhumans after there change. This would also give the show a main character with a reasonable explanation to why they can get superpowers. Just my hunch but I like it

I rather Scarlet witch and quicksilver powers be left unexplained in Avengers Age of Ultron

I may have just been staring at it too long but, blue dude and Coulson have some similar facial features. Even their ears have a similar shape
minusman

While I cant speak to the identity of the "alien", I do believe it is dead and floating in some kind of preservative. If you look closely at its chest, there are markings that look very similar to the "Y" incision thats used in autopsies.
I think the tubes are extracting its DNA from the inside.
sikwon
sikwon - 3/5/2014, 5:05 PM
That is 100% an autopsy scar on its chest. Those aren't gills, it's a neck wound. It's a Kree. Nothing has been hinted at to suggest Namor since IM2 but we KNOW that we are getting Kree. This is going to tie into Skye (her name is a hint as to ware she's from). The only way it isnt Kree is if its an Inhuman but Kree just makes to much sense. What's also important is that who ever the clairvoyant is, he not only has the information he wanted about Colson's resurrection but his plan was pulled off perfectly. Whoever "he" is, is a force to be reckoned with.
MightyZeus
MightyZeus - 3/5/2014, 5:34 PM
Interesting theory, however i do think the creature is Atlantean but i also think that the creature could be Kree. Remember Mavel does not own the rights to Namor so i still doubt it could be Atlantean unless they cheat themselves like they did with adding two mutants into an upcoming live action film. The Atlanteans could be Inhuman.
sKeemAn
sKeemAn - 3/5/2014, 5:53 PM
Nice theory. I still think that its the Kree or a Frost Giant. Only because the rights to Namor... And we are not sure how far those rights go. Either way its still very cool that we are getting aliens in this show. Kree seems more plausible since GOTG is coming out in a few.
