Coming Soon has revealed that on Friday, July 19th, Marvel Television will introduce fans to their first live action television epic with their new ABC series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., "featuring a panel with executive producer Joss Whedon and Marvel's Head of Television and series executive producer Jeph Loeb." The show will also be spotlighted at the Marvel Entertainment Booth on the Convention Center floor throughout the entire weekend, with special surprises to be announced. According to Latino Review's Elmayimbe, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set to have a Hall H panel as well.

Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet). From Executive Producers Joss Whedon (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” ”Buffy the Vampire Slayer”); Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” pilot co-writers (“Dollhouse,” “Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”); Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “Alias”); and Jeph Loeb (“Smallville”) comes Marvel’s first TV series. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.

Can't wait! I've been going to SDCC for a little over 10 years (since I was 13) and I love seeing all the celebrities, footage, and hearing all the news first hand. My group and I always manage to get front row seats in Hall H and it's always a blast. Boy do I have some awesome stories to tell, celebs I've met, etc... Looking forward to seeing everything Marvel brings and I hope DC has a presence as well

Marvel/Disney is gonna have a lot of great stuff at Comic-Con. DC/WB might showcase some stuff too (including news on a possible DCCU).

This year's Con should be off the chain.

@Omarvis

The arms race is on.Last week in the lead up to MOS,WB green lit MOS2 and confirmed it would be written by Goyer who hd a 3 picture deal that also included Justice League.

This week Marvel Studios is taking the spotlight back by resigning Downey and pretty much confirming Dr.Strange for 2016.

Sony also made a splash by locking down 2 more Spider-Man release dates out to 2018.

Fox will be talking up The Wolverine,X-Men DOFP and introducing the cast of Fantastic Four.

And thats just the CBM news we can expect to get more of in San Diego.

Hell,I'll say Lucasfilm will make the biggest news with the Episode 7 panel and news on the spin offs.

Its gonna be sick. I can't wait to go again this year.

Don't know what the complainers are griping about, this looks very cool, and I can't wait to see it! My only questions: Will Samuel L. Jackson do an occasional cameo, and is the character who jumps out of the window supposed to be Luke Cage? Or will they only develop new characters and stay away from Marvel's established properties??
