The Defenders. However, it was soon after that the powerful subscribtion service reassured fans by releasing the extremely popular comic adaptation
The Umbrella Academy.
Based on the comic of the same name,
The Umbrella Academy was created by Gabriel Ba and Gerard Way
(My Chemical Romance). It took fans by storm upon it's release, showing that Netflix is unafraid of losing that partnership after all.
Now, after six months of filming, it's been officially confirmed that filming has finished, making it so that there will be less of a wait before fans will have to see Diego, Klaus, and the others. There is still no release date confirmed, but you can bet that with a show in demand like this one, the streaming service is going to have this as a priority.
