THE MANDALORIAN End Credits Concept Art Highlights The Show's Horror-Inspired Take On A Galaxy Far, Far Away

The Mandalorian's latest episode saw Din Djarin reluctantly ferry a passenger across the Galaxy, clash with the New Republic, and even go on the run from some monstrous spider-like creatures.

It was an action-heavy, plot-light instalment of the Disney+ TV series, but the concept art we saw as the end credits rolled was undeniably awesome. Now, we can share the work of Christian Alzmann, Ryan Church, and Anton Grandert with you in hi-res!

It's always fun to see how this Galaxy Far, Far Away is brought to life in those crucial pre-production stages, and this incredible artwork clearly helped director Peyton Reed tell the story he wanted.

Many fans believed that this episode of The Mandalorian would see Din Djarin head to Hoth, but with Tatooine factoring into three episodes now, it's definitely time to visit some new locations. That X-Wing chase was a thrill, though, as were those terrifying spider-like creatures from the final act.

There were a lot of quirky moments in this episode, but did you notice that both the frog-like passenger and Dr. Mandible were both spotted in the Mos Eisley cantina during season one? That's a nice bit of foreshadowing, and likely a result of both seasons essentially being shot back-to-back.

"The Passenger" didn't do much to move the story along, though there was a lot to like about what was on offer. It addressed some lingering plot threads from season one (another clash with the New Republic is now unlikely), and most definitely showed a different side to The Child and his appetite.

It's been confirmed that these spiders were a newly created race for The Mandalorian, despite some similarities to the creatures shown in Star Wars Rebels and past Expanded Universe stories. Of course, a big question for many fans after this episode is how many more times can Din Djarin wreck his ship?

In some ways, it was a little disappointing seeing the New Republic swoop in to get Djarin and company out of a jam, especially when it arguably would have been "cooler" had Boba Fett or Ahsoka Tano saved the day! Regardless, it was great to see these guys in action, and it proved they have better aim than Stormtroopers!

The more I think back on this episode the more I like it. It has a very distinct feel to it and I enjoyed seeing a more normal side of the galaxy like the X wing police officer exchange with Mando

It was a great episode. Nothing rushed, great character and story development. It's old-school story-telling and this is why it works so well.

Idk why this one is getting so much hate haha I thought it was solid. The spiders were really creepy too. Gave me an Aliens vibe. Based on creatures that were created for Dagobah in ESB

The fact that it was a blatant rip off of Aliens really made me feel like it was a wasted episode. I LOVE Aliens and I love this show, but to be so unoriginal, I was just disappointed. ☹️
