THE MANDALORIAN Season 2 Trailer Contains Plenty Of New Footage, But No Sign Of Ahsoka Or Fett

A second trailer for The Mandalorian is now online, and while it does feature plenty of exciting new footage, fans are bound to be disappointed that we don't get a first look at any of the new characters.

As promised, a brand new look at The Mandalorian debuted tonight during MNF, but it's probably going to leave a lot of Star Wars fans disappointed.

The 60-second teaser is comprised almost entirely of new footage, as we see bounty hunter Din Djarin pay a visit to old allies Cara Dune and Greef Carga to ask them to accompany him on his mission to return The Child, aka Baby Yoda, to his people.

There's some exciting shots of the Razorcrest crew - which seems to include Season 1's hapless Mythrol (Horatio Sanz) - blasting into battle, but still no sign of Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, or any of the other new characters that are expected to debut this season.

While we may still get another trailer before October 30, Lucasfilm appears to be keeping these big reveals under wraps until the show premieres on Disney+. This is understandable, of course, but even a couple of brief teases would build a lot of extra hype for the return of the first ever live-action Star Wars series.

What did you guys make of this "special look" at The Mandalorian Season 2? Let us know in the comments.

It was a fine trailer. Season 1 saved all the good stuff for the show itself. Not surprised they didn't blow their load here

Nothing new here, aside from the fact that Gina Carano is wide as [frick].

@BornToLose - that’s actually part of why she could, that and fighting skills, speed, agility, flexibility, timing, accuracy, other athletic abilities, but size helps!

@BornToLose - I don't give a [frick] if she can beat me up. She's spread like a dude.

I like the show, i like that its probably gonna surprise me, but this marketing campaign isnt terribly exciting. You need to show more goodies if you want to attract new subscribers, and i dont think this will do the trick.

@rebellion - Anyone thats gonna subscribe to Disney+ because of the Mandalorian did it during Season 1. And most everyone has watched Season 1 and either liked it or not, so they already know of they want to watch season 2 or not. I would imagine the amount of people subscribing for Season 2 is minimal.

@CorndogBurglar - hard disagree. a lot of big shows grew their audience. ofc, this has a built in appeal(?) because its star wars, but if they put a few money shots in the trailer, people outside that base would show interest.
