THE MANDALORIAN Star Sasha Banks Describes The Secrecy Surrounding Season 2 Of The Disney+ Series

Rumour has it that WWE Superstar Sasha Banks has signed up to play a live-action Sabine Wren in season two of The Mandalorian, and she's now commented on the secrecy surrounding the Disney+ TV series...

Season two of The Mandalorian is shrouded in secrecy, with the casting of Rosario Dawson, Timothy Olyphant, Temuera Morrison, and Sasha Banks. The latter is a pro wrestler in WWE, and it's been reported that she has been cast as a live-action version of Star Wars Rebels character Sabine Wren.

That's not been confirmed, but we did catch a glimpse of her in the first trailer for the Disney+ series. There, she was watching Din Djarin from afar while hidden in a cloak (a far cry from the colourful Mandalorian armour Sabine donned in Dave Filoni's popular animated TV show).

Recently, Banks was asked about her role in The Mandalorian during The New Day's "Feel The Power" podcast, and while she couldn't say much, she did share a small update about the show.

"It still has not hit me," Banks said of joining the Star Wars franchise. "There is not much I can talk about yet. All I can say is I’m in it. I can’t believe it. I’m so excited and can’t wait for everybody to see it. Season 2 is going to be so incredible. I have not seen the episodes. I probably won’t even know what’s going on actually (until it airs). It’s so secretive."

If Banks hasn't been cast as Sabine, there will be a lot of disappointed fans out there. However, it's definitely best to temper expectations as she might just be some random villain in the show!

What do you guys think?

For those who are uninformed, she's considered one of the best wrestlers in the world right now.

@Himura - I'm still quite uninformed though. Because does that mean she is physically the best or the most convincing as per acting?

''If Banks hasn't been cast as Sabine, there will be a lot of disappointed fans out there. However, it's definitely best to temper expectations as she might just be some random villain in the show!''

This sentence was quite the rollercoaster. My guess is that she will be an ally to Mando, whether she is another Mandalorian (but not Sabine) or maybe even a Jedi.

She's secretly the child's mother. Turns out the species' females look exactly like human females.

@Origame - She's Din's long lost sister who turns out to be Moff Gideon's adoptive daughter and personal assassin.

Star Wars just loves a good family drama.

This god damn Sasha Banks is Sabine Wren BS has got to stop.

You really think Dave Filoni is going to greenlight a wrestler with zero acting experience to take on the role of one of his beloved characters?

I know this website loves to sling rumours as if they're fact, and the more outrageous the rumour the more clicks and "engagement" you get, but seriously just f off with this now.

@globaltravels - "wrestler with zero acting experience"

Wrestlers are actors in tights. Some better than others of course.
