Those that went to BlizzCon 2014 in November, they were rewarded with the first footage from Legendary Pictures' live-action Warcraft film, which is being directed by Duncan Jones ("Source Code"). When footage from a film that is as highly-anticipated as Warcraft is, often times it finds a way of leaking on to the internet. In this case, it did not. Security was said to be extremely tight at the presentation. Though, there were plenty of descriptions of the footage.

Description from geeklegacy.com
We start with an overhead fly-by view of a cgi storm wind, which looked amazing even to these Horde eyes.  Lothar in a voice over during the flyby “I’ve spent more time protecting my King than my own son.” We see Lothar sitting in a room that looks like some sort of Armory. He has on full plate armor and is holding a large sword and there is a shield on the floor next to him. Then it cuts to the throne room in storm wind (meticulously recreated from the game to the last brick) Lothar – ” Does that make me loyal(cuts back to Lothar close up) or a fool?”

Cuts to a desert rocky looking region that I am assuming is Draenor. Durotan-“I’ve led thousands of warriors into battle, but I fear being a father.” We see Durotan walking for a second then it goes and shows Durotan’s baby mama lying on the ground with a pregnant belly. Durotan-“Does that make me a leader, or a coward?”

It cuts to what looks like Durotan sinking in water with a weapon above him? Lothar-“Some see death as having some greater purpose, but when it is one of your own it is hard to grasp anything good comes from it.” While he is saying this it looks like they have found a dead orc in Azeroth and Lothar touchs the corpse and he sees black blood.

We then cut to a giant wood gate with two orc grunts pushing it open and Durotan talks again. “Our hope is destroyed, there is nothing to go back too. Is war, the only answer?”

Cuts to a battle scene in a forest region, large number of Footmen and Orcs charging each other. We then see a floating Dalaran then it looks like some high elves, I can’t tell for sure but I am guessing it is the Kirin Tor. Then I can’t really tell if it was King Lane or Lothar but he is walking with a Dwarf towards the great forge in Iron Forge. Short clip of Khadgar doing what looks like an arcane blast. There is a really cool clip of a Gryphon riding in and tearing up some orcs.

For some that isn't enough. That is where artist Yanmo Zhang comes in. He was one of the lucky few that witnessed the footage and he has used his artistic skills to illustrate what he viewed that day.

It Opens On March 11, 2016!

The Cast: Dominic Cooper as King Llane Wryn, "Robert Kazinsky as Orgrim, Paula Patton as Garona, Ben Foster is Medivh the “Guardian," Daniel Wu as Gul’dan, Ruth Negga as Lady Taria, Toby Kebbell as Durotan, Ben Schnitzer as Khadgar and Clancy Brown as Blackhand “The Destroyer.”

I don't intend for this to come off as a complaint, but what is taking this movie so long to make? are they filming in multiple locations like they did for LOTR? I gotta say I'm pretty excited for it

Its taking so long to make because, They gotta finish all those FX, Plus they should take time in order, to make a good video game movie, Which is rare.

Never played WoW (just not a gamer), but I have friends who are addicted. Nevertheless, I CANNOT WAIT for this film. Duncan Jones is a genius, and I love the care that has gone into crafting this world. This may be the first game-based film to actually live up to its potential.

I never played WoW but back in the 90's and 2000 I played Warcraft II and III and I have to admit that the story is fantastic!
If this first one succeeds we may get an amazing franchise there. I'd love to see the Arthas storyline on the screen. Would be better than 95% of what the screenwriters of today are producing. Really looking forward to this!

Hope this will be as good as it's sounding, it has the potential to be great, so many unique environments and cities with monumental architecture, also very different characters than what a lot of other fantasy movies have had, the Orcs are going to look amazing, I imagine they will all look kind of like Azog the Defiler except green and bulkier, also the Dwarves are going to look like proper Dwarves, the Dwarves in the Hobbit looked good, but they where not chunkey enough, they looked alright on there own , but when they are in shots with the Humans or Elves they lost their proportions, they needed to be wider and stokier and heavy looking with larger heads, Warcraft will stay true to its characters looks and do this, oh and the magic battles are going to be [frick]ing extraordinary.
