While out promoting The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Henry Cavill AKA Superman shared a bit of his geeky side. You see it turns out the current Man of Steel is a gamer and has a history with the online world of Azeroth.  The former player expressed his fondness for the MMO World of Warcraft, and shared that
he is even considering a return to check out the recent update. What do you think Paladin? He is Superman after all. The Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice star also has an opinion on the upcoming movie based on the game.

“I used to play a lot. I haven’t played in a long time. I heard it just got good again ... [with the film adaptation of] World of Warcraft, I’m excited to see what it’s like because that’s a hard thing to translate, and there are a lot of people who feel strongly about the lore in that, so we will see.”

Short and sweet, and while it is a brief quote it’s always encouraging to hear a fan of a game or comic book hope the things they enjoy are treated with respect. Is this movie on anyone’s radar, or as former players or movie fans what are you expectations if any? Leave your comments below.

World of Warcraft the Movie premieres June 10th 2016.

I've never even played WoW but from all of Henry's comments I don't believe he has either.

It's actually a Warcraft movie, not World of Warcraft.

I'm pretty sure he's said multiple times he almost "lost" the role of Superman because of the game.

He was playing WoW when Snyder gave him the call and he missed it because he was too into it.

Yeah I know about those first comments from Henry (about playing when he got the call). He just never really talks/talked about it enough for me to believe he's actually played, though. He sounds like me when I'm lying.

@Nickk

Well I actually need that sometimes when I don't have a TV show. Thanks for the heads up.

It's actually a Warcraft movie, not World of Warcraft.

That's actually an important distinction. The movie is based on the pre-WOW strategy games, which I used to love back in the day (I still listen to the soundtracks of 2 and 3 at times).

Oh, and if I remember things correctly WOW itself broke established WarCraft lore, and at least one time in a pretty serious way. I'd have to look up the details, this was after the short time I tried the game.

What a confusing article title, I was getting ready to throw all my cash at a World of Warcraft: Superman game.

@Jollem

I'm really not quite sure if you're being serious right now or not. If you're not I can laugh with you on this, but if you are you have some serious problems with selective reading (or you're only on MCU articles, which I know isn't the case) - I'm positive about a whole lot of things.

Oh, and while we're at it: I've looked at your comment because of the notification in my messages. Otherwise I wouldn't have seen it because I blocked you a while ago. Now I don't actually want that, because although you can be a weird and disagreeable fellow you're a part of this site I am actually kind of sorry to lose.

So could you please just not use a certain new derisive nickname for MCU fans starting with "Marvel" and ending with "ieber", like ever again?! I've been on this site for a long time now, and for me personally this is probably the single dumbest (and least asthetically pleasing) word anyone ever used in any of the petty fighting that's been going on here over the years.

Please don't use that one stupid word, don't help make it a thing, and we're good. Is that at all a possibility?

@Jollem

Okay then. And yeah, I've been here when those things occured. I usually try not to use any of the silly names people use to generalize and mock certain groups of fans they dislike for some dumb reason, but I realize that others will always do such things.

Of course you can say whatever you wish to say as long as it doesn't break any rules. It's just that in this one specific case I entreat you not to use one single word, because I really, genuinely dislike reading it.

It's completely up to you what you do with that request! <3

Why would he lie about admitting to playing WoW? That would be like lying and saying you ndver touched a boob.

Hopefully a Starcraft film will be next. Then a Lost Vikings movie can come out too.
