Though The Wrap corrected their initial error and reported that Ben Hardy actually would play winged mutant Warren Worthington in X-Men: Apocalypse, director Bryan Singer has now officially confirmed this... and more! While chatting to Empire Singer reveals (pretty much) that it'll be Archangel that the young actor will be suiting up as. “Ben Hardy is Angel – I shall confirm it for you!” he told the mag. “But he’s not a very nice Angel! And that’s all I’ll say…” That's okay Bryan, I think the concept art you provided below says it all!




Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Apocalypse also stars Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey) Kodi Smit-Mcphee (Nightcrawler), with Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Lana Condor (Jubilee) and Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse). The movie reportedly starts shooting this summer and will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.

I'll take it that they haven't used the actual blue skin Archangel has and are just using the art from Warrington regular mutant form for this concept art.

When it comes to concept art you can't say what looks may or may not be official. The head top could be from the regular concept art of the charcter while the suit may be that of the later looks further down the line. If anyone's seen the concept art released from DOFP they'd see that it offered many alternative looks. Not saying that the costume will look different but I totally refuse to believe Archangel will have regular skin. lol That's just too easy to not get right.

Archangel's most bad ass costume was his black and silver one.



In this case I see no reason why people should hate on this black costume it actually looks more like the comic version.

I'm so glad they're not giving him blue skin, way too many blue characters.
