X-Men: Dark Phoenix has already started shooting and New Mutants should be next. Filming kicks off a little later this month in Boston before moving to Montreal and three of the actors are already present in the city as they prepare to assemble to take on Demon Bear in the Josh Boone helmed release.

As you can see below, Henry
Zaga (13 Reasons Why) has shared a photo of himself with co-stars Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) and Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things). The trio play Sunspot, Wolfsbane and Cannonball in the movie and they're set to be joined by Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik, Blu Hunt as Danielle Moonstar and Alice Braga, who replaces Daredevil star Rosario Dawson as Dr. Cecilia Reyes.

While the cast obviously isn't in costume here, it's already been confirmed that the heroes won't be wearing their superhero suits in New Mutants as the "full-fledged horror movie set within the X-Men universe" is set to be very different to other comic book adaptations. New Mutants will be released on April 13th, 2018. Are you guys excited? As always, share your thoughts in the comments section.

I can't see the bottom of that stairwell; therefore, it's bottomless. 2017 logic in full effect, baby!

Firsties!

Being a big new mutants fan, I am very much hyped for this movie. It's my most anticipated comic book movie of 2018.

No costume...not interested. Also i think this will turn out like the Power Rangers movie in the sense that it will be very generic.

@HR -
Power rangers was good. Also you can still make a good movie without costumes. They are not the most important part.

@Mounir1994 - In a comic book movies it should be expected. I understand their are people that are just happy with and settle for just having the names and just generic clothes. For me no costume is a deal breaker because it just seems like a cop out to say its not important when the costumes are their identities in this comic book world. It just seems like lazy movie making to not have the creativity to make comic book movies that show the the character in full. If costumes isnt a big deal in a comic book movie then there are plenty of movies in other genres that do that.

@HR -
Um no. Costumes are not their identitiesz They are visual representations. I mean, mcu for example mcu got the iron man suit right but ruined his character.

@Mounir1994 - I can agree with that, visual representations. So in my mind the characters are not getting the proper representations by not showing them in their costumes. Either way for me I would like to see these characters in full form not just have the names slapped on a movie.

Characterization and personality is more important than costumes
HR
HR - 7/5/2017, 6:26 AM
@Mounir1994 - Its important to you and people that think or see movies like you. but there are people that think Costumes is as important as good story, good character building. Like i get it thats where your expectations stop for movies but again there are other movies and genres that have that.Cause it seems like Scifi and fantasy movies is not your type of movie if thats where your expectations end. And by the way all those brian singer movies dont even have any of that

Um sci fi movies are not about costumes lol
HR
HR - 7/5/2017, 7:38 AM
@Mounir1994 - No, but it helps and it depends of what sub genre of scifi you are talking about.
Ace006
Ace006 - 7/5/2017, 12:28 PM
@HR - They have stated this is going to be more like horror movie which means there could be a good reason they're not in costume. For example they're caught by surprise and then need to focus on surviving instead of what they're wearing
jwaterland
jwaterland - 7/5/2017, 2:58 PM
@HR - This is an origin story..they're not part of the X-Men team yet. So..no suits..get it?
CaptainAmerica

@jwaterland - I don't think he does or ever will.
