Fox Reportedly Want Bryan Singer Off X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

The original source on this one is a bit shaky (though it has been since picked up by other outlets), but word is that Singer's recent legal troubles have made 20th Century Fox too nervous to allow him to direct the next installment in their lucrative X-Men franchise.

According to Radar Online, Fox want X-Men: Days Of Future Past director Bryan Singer off the next movie in the series, Apocalypse. Apparently his recent legal troubles have made the studio too nervous to allow him to helm the follow up -- not because of the bad press (by all accounts they don't care if he's innocent or guilty), but because an ongoing court battle might impinge on the shoot, and force them to delay production. Like I said, the source doesn't have the best track record, but even if their report is bull, there's a very good chance Fox ARE worried about this...and they should be. After all, if this does go to court they can't very well risk their director having to abandon the production prematurely. Word is that "there have been talks about who else he’d let direct it, with him producing, but those led to heated arguments and walk outs". Take all of the above with that ever ready grain of salt for now, and we'll update if we any more word on this.

The site that posted this, Radar Online, are so unreliable that it's so damn retarded. They were the ones that said Demi Levato would be Wasp and Lynsay Lohan would be in MOS.

Just get Vaughn to come back if Singer can't direct

His "legal troubles" hardly affected DOFP.
I would hope that he would return after the amazing job he did with DOFP, but if the court dates may interrupt shooting and production then it's understandable that they'd replace him.

.."they’re only concerned with the bottom line, which is giving him another $250 to $350 million to make Apocalypse."

Another 250 to 350 million? How much exactly did they spend on DOFP then? Seems like they spent 250 million on DOFP like those earlier reports of the budget. I may have not liked what Singer has done to my beloved X-Men but I had hoped he returned for Apocalypse. After that film, someone else should have a go at the franchise but it seems like Singer might be leaving the franchise sooner rather than later lol

That does suck if true. I do hope that Singer was not involved with any minors. DOFP was great and its a shame he can not enjoy this moment because of these allegations.

Don't expect Vaughn to come back, that guy does what ever he likes and he wasn't interested in doing more X-Men the first time, so I doubt he'll be inclined to give it another go.

Maybe we can get some actual costumes this time around. If true I'm kinda glad Singer is gone. Vaughn did a great job with X:FC, it will be good to see what someone else can do with such a large franchise.
I bet the continuity will definitely be screwed up.

There are a number of reasons why I don't believe this. One of them being Radar Online. They reported that Demi Lovato was up for Wasp in Avengers, and that Lindsay Lohan would be in Man of Steel, among other things that have been proven false. Plus, Bryan Singer's name and direction certainly didn't hurt DOFP, so why would Fox change anything? Just doesn't make sense.

They're finally starting to bring new life to the franchise and they're already screwing it up. Well done, Fox.

I highly doubt this! Why would they want to fire the director of the most successful X-Men movie ever??? That's stupid
