Why are Cyclops and Jean Grey battling it out with Storm? Who knows, but perhaps this version of the character will start off on the site of Apocalypse before seeing the light and siding with Charles Xavier's X-Men! We'll have to wait and see on that one, but the concept art below is a much better quality version that what we saw over the weekend. And hey, no more black leather!

As well as returning cast members Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Ian McKellen,
X-Men: Apocalypse will also introduce Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lana Condor, Oscar Isaac, Ben Hardy, Olivia Munn, and a number of others. The movie is set to be released on May 27th, 2016. What do you think of this latest concept art?

Likely a danger room practice session. The danger room is honestly such a great tool for action scenes at any time

It does look like mohawk Storm. They did say they were gonna touch on her earlier life from the comics when she was a thief. Maybe she starts bad then sides with them.

That looks so awesome! I really hope there are some large scale action sequences in this. Fox's X-men series has been pretty great but we haven't seen any massive set pieces yet.

Also, how is Fox going to get around the over-powered Quicksilver from stopping time whenever there is trouble? Are they going to kill him like Whedon did so they don't have to worry about it?

Apparently directors have been turning down channing Tatum and his gambit film.

"According to multiple sources a slew of big names have been offered the director’s chair but they keep turning it down. According to Umberto Gonzales both Bennett Miller, who directed Tatum in Foxcatcher and Darren Aronofsky, who was once tapped to direct The Wolverine, have both passed on the job. In addition, the Meet the Movie Press podcast reports (via ScreenCrush) that both Gareth Evans of The Raid and J.C. Chandor, who wrote and directed A Most Violent Year, have also said no to the superhero gig."

At least they are going for big name, ambitious directors! They still have 4-6 months before shooting starts so we'll see who they end up with.

@Ryguy88 time slows, Silver's about to move in...but then Apocalypse starts twitching until he's directly in his perception of time and then...T .T

@Ryguy88 it begs the questio: does Gambit reaaaallly NEED his own solo film? I think he works better in a team dynamic. And Fox doesn't have the best track record with xmen. They appear to be getting better but I can understand the hesitation to get involved with them. And look, in my opinion, Tatum isn't this dynamic actor who should have soooo much pull and influence. He was just solid in Foxcather and that was his best performace in my opinion. His filmography is littered with comedies and rom coms. He's yet to prove his metal as a viable action star I think. White House Down was just screwball action to me. So I can see why directors aren't inrerested. All those directors mentioned seem like amazing artists who would want to explore their own vision and Fox may be somewhat interfering (Wolverine ending)

@PAF heeeeeeey he can be reliable at times haha. Come on man, he's broken some stories. There were other sources as well. I can see Tatum being turned down

I never understood how Cyclops could miss his target when all he has to do is look directly at them.

Snap!

Maybe just wait and see how it all works out before labeling it a failure. If they have a good story to tell then I wanna see it! I doubt its going to be some huge budgeted movie so they don't need to draw in huge amounts of people to see it.

Also, Tatum's track record sounds a little like Chris Evans' pre-Captain America ;) If he can lean out a bit he could be a spot on Gambit.

Dude, Marvel Studios has been doing this for years and they put out some pretty decent movies! If they are going to be building a universe of movies then there will need to be at least some reining in of the visions of the directors.
