This first clip from Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse sees Moira MacTaggert cluing some old friends (Xavier and Havok) in on the extremely powerful mutant they'll soon be going up against, and reveals that there's a cult of En Sabah Nur that await his imminent return. We also have a new featurette that takes us BTS of the X-Mansion.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 18.

I've enjoyed this about this trilogy. Like, I know its been done to death in other films, but the whole inserting mutants into real world history is neat.

Cool scene, but WTF is up with Rose Byrne's insane overacting. She is mugging so hard - just say the lines, Jesus.

WB Pictures and the DCEU started these new trend of releasing clips to hype fans and audiences before the official release of the film.Great to see Fox following the same path, I cannot wait to see Apocalypse (Biggest X-Men Fanboy here).

I was super stoked for this when it was announced. Not super stoked for this lately, tho. Maybe after Civil War I'll begin to get into it more. I'm generally most excited for whatever is next on the plate.

I can't tell....did they make Moira look older?

This film takes place 20 years after First Class and it doesn't show in the cast at all.

@TheNerdGuy - Oh, don't get me wrong, the development with most of the main cast (particularly Charles and Erik) is great, but visually it's a little bit of a stretch to believe these guys are now 20 years older.

@MattBellissimo - Its definitely a stretch but I think Beast is supposed to go from a teenager to late 30's and Xavier is supposed to go from mid 20's to mid 40's, Moira the same.
