New X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Production Still Features The Parents Of 'Cyclops' & 'Havok'

As production on X-Men: Apocalypse rolls on, director Bryan Singer has shared another behind-the-scenes image from the set. This time we're introduced to the actors playing the parents of Scott and Alex Summers as they "watch the end of the world as they know it unfold on TV." Check it out...

The latest BTS image from the set of X-Men: Apocalypse is light on mutants, but we are introduced the Cyclops and Havok's folks. Though Scott and Alex Summers obviously share a surname, it's never actually been confirmed that the two characters were brothers until now. The X-movie timeline is kind of all over the place after so much retconning and semi-rebooting, but since we know Lucas Till is returning as Havok and Tye Sheridan is playing Cyclops, it's safe to assume they've made the latter the younger of the two.

Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Apocalypse also stars Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Lana Condor (Jubilee), Olivia Munn (Psylocke), Ben Hardy (Archangel), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), with Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), and Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse). The movie will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.

Adoptive parents hoe fully so we can get the shiar storyline...idk. I hope they aren't the real parents. It's been said this is singers last xmen film and the end of his universe hopefully it's true so we can get some xmen films wth genosha, savage land and shiar empire

It's odd to think that two mutant siblings share essentially the same powers. Are there any other examples of this coincedence? Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver sure don't...

Gusto says he banged lots of drunk women at Whitesnake concerts in the 80s. So there is a 80 percent chance he's my dad.

So that's Corsair right? Right??

Sigh, I'm getting really tired of Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg thinking they know better than 40 years of X-men history.

So in this X-universe havok is about what 20 years older than Cyclops. Yeah that makes sense.

Cool totally ruined the origin of 2 amazing characters. Can't they just sell the rights to marvel cosmic characters back to marvel since they will never use them?

One change made during time travel can change everything so I'm cool with whatever change.

Yeh this needs to be adopted parents...cause otherwise they're screwing up the whole Corsair storyline...

I dont wanna be "that guy" (again) but... Havoc was like, late teen-20ish in First Class.. 1962. So those are the parents of a, (in 1983) 40 year old man?

Are they going to put a "slightly older man-makeup" on 25 year old Till to make him 40, or is he only gonna be in flashbacks?

I have a brother and we've never gone with the double hand clutch, and press our chest and groins together. Not to mention the Alex nuzzle in Scott's neck.

I'm glad that Singer is at least acknowledgig that Scott and Alex are brothers. But, damn, the roundabout way to do it. The X-Men continuity timeline is all over the place.

Also, I'm sad that in the Singer X-universe it's looking like the Starjammers and Sh'lar don't exist. X-Men has a rich cosmic universe of characters. I would figure that FOX would be taking advantage of it since Marvel Studios hit it big with Guardians of the Galaxy. Perhaps if there is a reboot in the future -they'll still explore that and give the fans a worthy Dark Phoneix storyline.

On another note, I'm really glad to see the note from the administrators of this site about the flame war situation and people hijacking threads. It was a long time in coming.

In all honesty, did you really expect their dad to be the leader of a band of space pirates? At least they're brothers. Hell, I'll settle with him just being in or retired from the Air Force. That's grand territory not really needed to be adapted... Yet.

Eh, guys, you may have noticed some slight tampering with Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver's parentage in AVENGERS 2 also... no backlash there?
MercwithMouth
MercwithMouth - 5/4/2015, 1:09 PM
Oh no!!! They made Cyclops the younger brother!

Shit, what will happen next? Will Bucky become the same age as Captain America? Will Justin Hammer become a young man? Will Bane become white? Will Heimdall become black? God forbid Johnny Storm might become black and Sue become adopted!

Wait...someone just told me that the Mandarin is actually a drug addicted actor and Aldrich Killian is the Mandarin!

My whole world has been blown to shit...

Oh, wait...these are just movies, and as such, are adaptations and allowed to utilize creative licence to tell their stories.

Well now I feel better. How about you guys?

@Th0rOdinson probably because Scott wasn't born yet. remember first class happened during the 60's and Apocalypse is based on the 80's and Scott is barely a teenager there.

So it has come to this, you people pushed Nate far enough for him to put on a [frick]ing NOTE above the reply area....

"NOTE: Attacking other users, inciting flame wars or attempting to hijack threads will result in comment deletion and/or having your user account disabled. THINK before you post!"

For [frick]s sake guys.....
