'Storm' And 'Nightcrawler' Show Off Their Mutant Abilities In Another New X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Promo Video

Sky must have paid a pretty penny to get the rights to use the X-Men in their new broadband ads, but you've got to admit, they are pretty damn cool. This latest commercial features two younger incarnations of fan-favorite mutants Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee) doing their thing.

The X-Men: Apocalypse footage that screened at CinemaCon was apparently the most impressive yet, but it's doubtful that'll ever be officially released - though a final trailer before the film's release is expected at some point.

X-Men: Apocalypse is once again directed by Bryan Singer, and is set to open in theaters on May 27, 2016.

Lol these ads are so odd.

But not as odd as the Carl's Jr. ads from DOFP's marketing run. Lol

Apocalypse being responsible for the eruption at Vesuvius is pretty [frick]ing awesome.

@blackandyellow - Yeah a neat little thing like Magneto's affiliation with the JFK assassination.

And you thought Magneto being involved in the JFK assassination was hamfisted. Apocalypse is behind every catastrophe in history but somehow we are just finding out about him now.

Every time I look at Nightcrawler, I hate his look even more.

@BatesMT - Is it the hair? I think if his hair were different you'd change your tune. ;-)

British commercials are odd.

I think I'm trying too hard to get hype for this movie. I really like X-Men but this run of X-Men while done well, seems a bit boring.

@TheBrownHornet - I also think this film is being released at a poor time. BVS and Civil War both overshadow it.

@MattBellissimo - Yeah, you aren't the first person that has said that to me. I think you're right though. Civil War is getting all the hype and it's overwhelming right now. These movies really don't do all that well in theaters either regardless of cast and how good it is, and they are pretty good.

There's a certain kind of shameless I like, and a certain kind I don't. Most of these ads just make me uncomfortable.
