Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

As well as returning cast members Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult, X-Men: Apocalypse will also introduce Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lana Condor, Oscar Isaac, Ben Hardy, Olivia Munn, and a number of others. The movie is set to be released on May 27th, 2016. What do you guys think of these new images from the movie? Sound off below...

All those suits look heavy as [frick], especially Xavier's haircut which does not quite fit the character :/

What happened to the suits that looked like the comics? Is that going to be a final shot thing for the film?

@THATguy01 - I think they will wear them at the 4th act.

I dont understand the logic behind this version of Psylocke's outfit. She has armor over her breasts, which takes her sexiness down a notch and it provides like zero actual protection. Maybe this is bigoted, but if a straight man was making the decisions on Psylocke's outfit then it might be sexier. No offense to to him, but he isn't attracted to women and so he doesnt instinctually understand what makes them more attractive to guys who are.

Example: Look at how some draw Poison Ivy versus how Schumaker, a gay man, had her appear in Batman & Robin, a movie which featured close up shots of Batman's rear and codpiece. He just didnt understand how to make her look sexy and so he cast Uma Thurman and allowed her to be put into a hideous make-up/costume.

@aboynamedblue - But I thought Uma Thurman was sexy...

Justsomenerd - 3/27/2016, 8:05 AM
@DallasAvenger - She was when she was younger, she was even hot for a while. But, she isn't a ten and that movie made Alcia Silverstone look less attractive too. The costume for Poison Ivy was terrible and did not make Uma look any more attractive at all. It is almost as if the director didnt care if she looked attractive.

@aboynamedblue - Well I guess agree to disagree about her looking sexy in her Poison Ivy outfits. Although I really don't like being in the position of defending creative decisions by Schumaker in Batman and Robin.

Justsomenerd - 3/27/2016, 8:09 AM
@DallasAvenger - Schumaker is gay, nothing wrong with that at all. But, he made decisions based on what he wanted to see so the movie had close-up shots of Batman's butt and crotech in the first 10 minutes, the city was filled with statues of muscular naked men, no women, and the female hero and villain were less sexy than they normally are in real life or as drawn. Alicia Silverstone's Batgirl outfit didnt have nipples, but the men's costumes did. Just WTF?

Justsomenerd - 3/27/2016, 8:11 AM
@DallasAvenger - Wait. I didnt think she looked sexy in the movie and you did? I am saying she was sexy in other movies, especially when she was younger and that in Batman vs Robin she was very unsexy, almost on purpose. This is despite how she is drawn.

DallasAvenger - 3/27/2016, 8:13 AM
@aboynamedblue - Exactly I thought she looked great as Poison Ivy but you didn't and that's cool.
Spock0Clock
Spock0Clock - 3/27/2016, 8:20 AM
@aboynamedblue - I'm not sure I would go so far as to ascribe it to Singer's sexuality. It's definitely true that his movies essentially treat women (at best) as basically neutered men and (at worst) plot objects.
Justsomenerd
Justsomenerd - 3/27/2016, 8:48 AM
@Spock0Clock - Hey you replied to the wrong thread. No worries.

Look at Psylocke's costume for this movie, then look at her as drawn. Nearly the same except now she has some pointless armor over her breasts. She would look way sexier if she didnt have some stupid pice of plastic armor over her breasts. Singer had the final word on the costume, his choice.

At least those costumes are not from the final battle since the final battle will be the X-Men with Magneto against Apocalypse.
DallasAvenger
DallasAvenger - 3/27/2016, 8:06 AM
@MrFridayNights - Really? I just kind of assumed Magneto would betray his team again and Apocalypse would have to team up with the X-men to fight him.

@DallasAvenger - Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
xinstituto
xinstituto - 3/27/2016, 8:49 AM
@MrFridayNights - I don't think so. I think Magneto may die, or something happens that people believe he died. Storm is going to be the one who changes sides.
MrFridayNights
MrFridayNights - 3/27/2016, 4:17 PM
@xinstituto - Psylocke and Archangel will also change sides.
MrFridayNights
MrFridayNights - 3/27/2016, 4:18 PM
@DallasAvenger - Nah I don't think that will happen because Magneto has been an antihero in various X-Men story arcs.
DallasAvenger
DallasAvenger - 3/27/2016, 4:35 PM
@MrFridayNights - Oh no I think there is a zero percent chance of what I said happening, it was a joke, since that's what happened in X2, First Class and DOFP.
