While many of us were incredibly excited to see Apocalpse bulding a giant pyramid in Egypt for the X-Men: Days of Future Past post credits scene, we were equally excited to see the 'Four Horsemen' being teased off in the distance. By the time X-Men: Apocalpse lands in theaters Apocalpse and his 'Four Horsemen' will look much different - something closer to the comic book versions. Screenwriter Simon Kinberg was asked during Comic-Con about the identities of Apocalpse's brainwashed, super-powered henchmen.

Simon Kinber: I cannot answer your question, but they are ones we have seen before if you have read the comics. I cannot answer that. I know the answer to it, but we are still in the formal stages of figuring that out. But in truth, like everything you are developing a TV show or a movie, it could change. So I wouldn’t want to tell you one thing, and then six months from now you read somebody getting cast, oh because some focus group told them that this character was no good and it really is things change. Especially in Days of Future Past, the Quicksilver character was a young Juggernaut. When Bryan [Singer] came on, he thought the Juggeranut has already been exploited, and he didn’t think it was fresh enough. We went down the list of who is another mutant that could help Magneto escape in that sequence that could be a new visual, and he got excited about Quicksilver, because he saw this high speed photography that he wanted to use, and that became the kitchen sequence. That’s high speed photography is based on youtube clips that Bryan had seen. You just may never know, and that was a late game decision to cast young Juggernaut. There will be Four Horsemen I can tell you that.

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past will be directed by Bryan Singer ("Usual Suspects"). The cast includes: Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Ian McKellen, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Peter Dinklage, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Daniel Cudmore, Booboo Stewart, Omar Sy, Fan Bingbing, Evan Jonigkeit, Adan Canto and Josh Helman. X-Men: Days Of Future Past is now playing at your local theater.

I'm calling it now. It's pretty obvious this will happen with him needing to get his adamantium back in some way.

I am predicting Gambit, Wolverine, Sinister and Polaris who would give Magneto and Quicksilver a big reason to get involved with Scarlet Witch joining the fray.

wolverine, magneto, gambit and angel/archangel

Mr. Sinister, while he would be great as a Horseman, should be saved for the film after Apocalypse.

Julien, I thought he had his adamantium back now?

Scruffy, I would've like Mr. Sinister before Apocalypse, but I'm still good with it. Mr. Sinister does need to be done though.

The thing with sinister that I think could work would be introduce him as a horseman in this and then have him make his big debut as a big bad himself in X-Force which could be a film set in the future so it shows that Sinister has lasted a long time and also shows that this still has some timeline with the Original cast. Maybe have blink, Bishop and warpath in X-Force seeing as the future Xavier should know about them after wolverine told him everything at the end of DOFP.

That would also allow Cable to lead X-Force

Holocaust, Abyss, Mikhail, and Sinister. The interview pretty much states it as they are all new characters that haven't been overused LIKE Juggernaut. And horsemen that we would be familiar with if we read the comics as they ARE probably the most recognizable GROUP of Four Horsemen rather than just one being a huge stand out X-Men character and others. Three of them have stunning visuals attached, and one is a major X-Men baddie. Mikhail could possibly be replaced. Something has to transfer over from the AoA and I think this will be one of them ...along with the prelates.

yossarian- i think he meant how he gets it with mystique posing as stryker. does he still get it that way or will they change how he gets the claws.

We have to also consider the fact that this film is said to be a disaster film (no pun intended) as well. Meaning that some of these horsemen should really bring in the disaster with most of their mutated abilities. I guess we'll just have to wait until Fall for a really good idea.
TheRationalNerd
TheRationalNerd - 7/25/2014, 2:01 PM
You can't have Archangel in the 80's if he wasn't born until around the 80's (according to the franchises timeline) if I'm correct? However it has been stated that the original trilogy cast will reprise their roles but how I'm not too sure. Perhaps we'll get a nod to archangel within the present timeline?
yossarian
yossarian - 7/25/2014, 2:02 PM
@king - I have no idea how he gets it anymore in the movies. He got it from Stryker in Origins. But...that wasn't the same Stryker in DOFP. Whatever. I just assume at some point someone put some adamantium on him.
Xrs13
Xrs13 - 7/25/2014, 2:02 PM
OmegaDaGod - Sinister has been a horseman before so why would that be bullshit :S
TheRationalNerd
TheRationalNerd - 7/25/2014, 2:04 PM
And even though it's highly speculated we can't say for sure if Wolverine had his adamantium claws in the "fixed future" because he never drew them out but if he does it would be pretty neat to see how he'll get them in Apocalypse or perhaps a flashback sequence within Mangold's Wolverine sequel.

It would be funny because it won't happen. Just because it happened in the comics does not mean it will happen on film.

Ancient Horseman, in Ancient Egypt teaching and protecting a young En Sabah Nur should be: Caliban, Gazer, Deathbird, Autum Rolfson. Ozymandias should serve as the elder. They don't get much screen-time, just serve as mainly easter eggs (Deathbird specifically).

Future/80s Horsemen: Archangel, Caliban, Polaris, Cortez. Mixes elements of the cartoon, with obvious comic canonical stories.

Clan Akkaba should be something like a mutant cult, in the 80s. Mutants who worship and ultimately free En Sabah Nur from his tombs. Should be led by Mr. Sinister, with more than likely Mystique. Extra mutants who "fit": Dust, Spiral, would say Blink, but she was used already, and maybe Chamber. I think some younger/new X-Men characters are long over-due.

Watch the four horsemen be Bryan Singer, Wolverine, Magneto, and Michael Fassbender's bulge.

They've also said that they'll be most likely taking inspiration form the 90's cartoon and Age of Apocalypse story arc so there's that as well...
