The sentinels looked good, there wasn't enough 70's Sentinel action though

Honestly, they really missed the opportunity to expose us all to Master Mole within this film. I would've had most of the Sentinesls combine to form him right before Xavier and Kitty almost meet their fate at the end of the film, I just wanted a tease of him but it's all good. With the time ripple wave effect these things ARE still possible to happen believe it or not.

However I will say that some of the concept designs were spectacular, I wouldn't want to see the cartoon/old comic versions that looked like they had muscles underneath but if they could somehow modernize that look. It would be been cool. I still enjoyed the designs of the 1970s sentinels as they were the first models of the many models that would eventually come down the line.

I'm very curious if they will include the Sentinels again in the Apocalypse film. When reading the comic I discovered that they were actually fighting alongside the mutants and humans in protection of the human race from Apocalypse's forces.

@0megaDaGod

Ha, very true man! It could totally offer some classical elements for fans and newcomers. I'm just wondering if Xavier will already have the team formed by the time the film opens or will he encounter each one of the original members throughout the film as the film moves along during Apocalypse's reign? Should be fun to see how it all plays out, hopefully we'll get clear info on the younger cast later this year.

Those future sentinels were terrifying. Those things are the biggest threat in any comicbook movie ever made. I actually felt for the mutants when they stared getting picked off. there was no way to beat them and the only got smarter the longer they fought. Singer did a good job with those things.

I thought the sentinels were more mishandled/underutilised than the dark elves.

The ending was a Matrix ripoff. What a surprise.

I think the past sentinels looked a lot like the xmen: Evolution sentinels loved the movie best since The Dark Knight.

Yep. That looks just like Stone Cold Steve Austin, so let's NOT use that design. Oh, look, it's that Dyson vacuum cleaner commercial again. Hmmm...

they couldnt of exaggerated anymore on that front cover of what this film is about, that tells me that the xmen are going to fight 50 feets tall robots in the future and that we will some some epic show down between wolverine and a sentinel, yet we got NONE of that

@FerFogs: Exactly, but Magneto wasn't controlling their systems. If you watch it again (I just did a few days ago), the Sentinels are STILL programmed to hunt mutants. this can clearly be seen in the scene where Beast is in the car and injects himself with his potion. Then that Sentinel that goes after Magneto. Magneto was just puppeteering. 5:30 mark:

My goodness....that game looks awesome.
Better than the actual film.

@FerFogs: He filled them with metal, which means the bullets are now metal as well. Also, there's a scene earlier in the movie that shows Magneto learning about how the Sentinels work. There's obviously a little fudging, but you get that with any kind of fiction. They covered their bases for this.
