The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $1 billion at the global box office: The Bourne Legacy. The writer/director expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films.

For The Bourne Legacy, Renner joins fellow series newcomers Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, while franchise veterans Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn reprise their roles.

Reading the synopsis, Bourne Legacy happens concurrently as Bourne Ultimatum!

Aaron Cross and Jason Bourne definitely have a chance to meet up and make the next Bourne film!

Wow... Was not expecting this film to intertwine with the previous trilogy so much that it takes place during it. I'm extremely intrigued at how this is gonna play out, now. One err, however, is the general circumstance of a love interest. Its too common that some damsel be rescued that's either involved or not.

Oh, well. Beggars aren't choosers.

This is a movie I dismissed as crap when I first heard about it. The closer it gets to release, the more I am changing my opinion on it. This trailer, and the plot, look and sound amazing.

Officially on board for wanting to see this.. could definitely lead into a movie with both Bourne and Cross. Which would be brilliant.

Also agree with @genesis.. Hawkeye and Widow spy movie.. sign me up.

I'm still a little reserved based off of what matt damon said about the script but on its own merits it looks awesome I'm gonna go see it

I dunno....looks somewhat of the cookie-cutter build action film. Guy gets screwed by the government project that created him. Guy saves girl and screws her... run from everyone chasing them...recycle and rinse. Probably a rental for me.

I've only seen the first Bourne. It was a great movie. Can't say I like it better than Bond though. I grew up watching James Bond.

This actually looks pretty good, Im glad to see characters from the original trilogy returning and also acknowledging Jason Bourne to some extent giving it continuity and not some total reboot

This doesn't look like anything new, but it does look good. I've enjoyed all 3 Bourne movies, and this one seems to fit right in.
