With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 54%, it's clear that The Bourne Legacy is yet another major 2012 blockbuster which has divided critics and fans alike. Their overall verdict is that, "It isn't quite as compelling as the earlier trilogy, but The Bourne Legacy proves the franchise has stories left to tell -- and benefits from Jeremy Renner's magnetic work in the starring role." It seems like a fair assessment, although whether or not there really are stories left to tell without Matt Damon's Jason Bourne is debatable. Regardless, what did YOU think of the film? Released last Friday in North America and on Monday in the UK, here is your chance to cast your votes and share your thoughts.

The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $1 billion at the global box office: The Bourne Legacy. The writer/director expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films. For The Bourne Legacy, Renner joins fellow series newcomers Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, while franchise veterans Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn reprise their roles.

STARRING:

Jeremy Renner as Aaron Cross
Rachel Weisz as Stephanie Snyder
Edward Norton as Byer
Joan Allen as Pam Landy
David Strathairn as Noah Vosen
Albert Finney as Dr. Albert Hirsch
Scott Glenn as Ezra Kramer

RELEASE DATE: August 3rd 10th, 2012

it might not be the best of the franchise, but it's not the worst either. If Damon doesn't want to return, I'm fine with Renner moving on with the franchise, Aaron Cross is a great character, who knows? if this movie is succesful, maybe the next movie will be a team-up Bourne-Cross

Some of the polls you guys post are like watching network news...so obviously skewed in one direction. It's either the best movie in the franchise or you can't watch it without pining after Jason Bourne? Come on. My answer would have been: I enjoyed it. Looking forward to more Aaron Cross.

I co-sign on what calin88 said. The movie was enjoyable, I liked how this new movie timeline intertwined Bourne Supremacy timeline...the motorcyle chase scene in the end was badass...I hope to see more of Aaron Cross...but if they do a follow-up they should take the "Bourne" out of the title.

Now Im not going to say it was the best of the Bourne series....that one IMO goes to Supremacy, oddly enough it was Matt Damons least favorite.

@tea: really? I find Weisz breathtaking. guess that's just me.

I liked the movie but didn't love it. I'd say it's better than Identity but it's been awhile since I've seen Identity so that could change. Supremacy is still the best in the series.

Awesome espionage thriller, intelligently conceived and well delivered so as to maintain the tone of the previous films without falling into the trap of becoming a base-popcorn-action film to please the mass audiences lacking the attention span to savour such movies, let alone fully understand the title. Thank God there remains film makers who have integrity to still produce movies like this and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. 8.5/10

Why don't people wait a week or two for a movie to be out before they put up polls to see what people think? Give people a chance to see the show first?

I really enjoyed it, with one plot hole exception. But it was a different spin on the series so you have to accept that.

Renner was great and the movie was very solid and enjoyable. It was just what to expect form such a movie. Nice stuff.

I refuse to watch any of the Bourne movies because they copied the lead character's name and the titles from the books and nothing else

they should have call then by any other title...and said inspired by characters from the Ludlum Bourne series...then it would be acceptable

for frack sakes, they made Marie German instead of Canadian just so they could get her to say Sheisse over and over again

I enjoyed the movie it just didn't have as much action as the first three but I'm sure the next one will be better and I'll bet the third one with renner will have Jason Bourne in it. That would be badass

Didn't vote, wish the was "Definitely exceeded my expectations, but didn't touch the original trilogy" option.

Definitely worth a watch, a little long and the

Drug dependency aspect felt very overbearing. But I enjoyed Renner, Weiss, and Norton. I'd give it a solid 6.5/10.

Also loved Oscar Isaac in the film, he played Standard Gabriel in DRIVE, one of my favorites of last year. Didn't know who he was until then now he seems to be popping up all over the place. A delightful actor.

I have only seen the first Bourne movie, and some of the second one. I wasn't a big fan of what I saw from that, was hoping this one would be awesome with Renner. I'd like to see it at some point, haven't though.
