I gave up when I saw Channing Tatum as Colossus.

This whole thing is not quite on.

WOLVERINE...5'3".
GERARD BUTLER...6'2".

CHANNING TATUM....REALLY?
COLOSSUS is 7' tall.

SAM WORTHINGTON, the AUZZIE with the
"unending AUZZIE accent" as the AMERICAN CYCLOPS?
CYCLOPS 6'3"...WORTHINGTON- 5'10".

Yup, really off!

average cast, not flawless but not bad at all. some casting like x 23,gambit,iceman,angel,storm and havok are pretty cool but your picks for professor x,kitty pride , nightcrawler, emma frost doesn't seem right. and while worthington and butler can be badass i don't think they can pull off cyclops and wolverine(and butler is too tall for logan).

Storm and Wolverine are the only choices i cant get behind....

then Storm choice i would literally get behind..

@DDD you really need to stop getting hung up on height.... Jackman is the same height as Butler but he's a great Wolverine! They can make people look shorter with MOVIE MAGIC! ;)

Still Butler isn't a very good choice, it was all really good until Danny Pudi as Nightcrawler... from there it all just went down hill. Emmy Rossum & Ben McKenzie after that are alright choices though.

Also I'd like more reasoning then just the name of something they were on....

KAKAROT@ I don't agree with you that JACKMAN is
a great WOLVERINE. He's been the ONLY WOLVERINE
so who are you comparing him to? He's always been
way too tall! It's quite evident in the FOX movies.

WOLVERINE'S whole persona is the muscular RUNT with
the BIG claws. It's what sets him off from all the
regular height guys. He's the RUNT "Jack The Giant
Killer" who whittles the big guys down to size.
He's extremely short (5'3") and it shows, ALWAYS, in
the comics.

Size doesn't matter to people who don't care
about the comics and accuracy.

So I stand by what I first said, "This is mostly
OFF.

WOLVERINE@ is my favorite character and I want him
done accurate, close to 5'3" as can be.
Is that asking too much? 6'2 is not close by
a long shot!

And CYCLOPS needs to be 6'3". He's a tall leader
type.

But Height isn't the only criteria,
the actor needs to "feel" like LOGAN, too.

It's just laziness on the part of directors
and casting directors not to find someone who
fits the physical attributes of a "drawn",
illustrated comic book character who is etched
in everybody's minds to look that certain way.

COMICS are a visual medium not just a written
medium. The characters have a very strong "LOOK".
Any other look is a lie and total rewriting.
That is wrong for a comic book adaptation.

Most of these don't work for me.

Professor X: I don't see Hugh Laurie as Professor X. I would cast Pierce Brosnan.

Cyclops: I don't like Sam Worthington, I would cast Jared Padaleki.

Jean Grey: Anna Torv could be good but I prefer Rachel Nichols.

Beast: I think Beast is supposed to be older than the rest of the X-men, so I would cast Keifer Sutherland.

Wolverine:I agree with DDD, Wolverine is short but I think that realisticly the actor should be between 5'8" and 5'10". I like Christian Kane for Wolverine.

NightCrawler: night crawler is German so I would cast Elijah Wood.

Colossus: I would cast Ryan Hurst

Emma Frost: Melissa George is the perfect choice for Emma.

Sam Worthington Would Be a Better Wolverine. He if he could let loose with a character we might get what we need out of him.

Channing Tatum though one of the only actors I think has no form of salvation as an actor except in comedies, could pull of a good Cyclops. Mainly cause Cyclops is a Silent Douche that Barks orders and when Tatum "acts" Like a Douche Soldier that Barks orders, he actually looks like a Leader. Plus he's 6'1, Knows Kung Fu and has the Look. He is def not Colossus though.

If you want someone who looks Older to Play Scott, 6'2 Joshua Jackson would be awesome if he got in shape for the role he'd be incredible. Though I like him for beast he can be switched and it would be awesome!

In fact, with Your Permission I would like to do a Fancast and use a lot of your Choices, not in the role they are in. How Bout it?

Oh & DDD Have you Seen My Hero Swap? I Wanted to see what you thought of it. It's pretty old now.

@DDD I stand by the fact that size doesn't matter. I'm not comparing Jackman to anybody obviously but that doesn't change the fact that it's easy to see that he's perfect for the part. If they want they can make people look smaller on screen obviously, I really don't see the big deal and find that casting anyone based on height is silly.

I get that being short is apart of Wolv but when it comes down to if that's the only part of the character that isn't translating onto the big screen and it makes someone hate the movie character / the actor that plays him well then I'm sorry but to me that's just stupid too.
