New International Poster For STAR TREK BEYOND Assembles The Crew; Plus A Secret Cameo Revealed

With the arrival of Jason Bourne today and Suicide Squad next week, these late summer weeks can get a bit crowded, hence why Justin Lin's critically acclaimed Star Trek Beyond has yet to open in at least twenty-three international markets, including South Korea, which is where it will arrive on August 18. To make up for the delay, Paramount Pictures has debuted this very cool new poster featuring the entire USS Enterprise crew, led by their fearless leader Captain Kirk, in front of their fallen ship. Check it out below:

On another note, yesterday, Powerless star Danny Pudi posted a photo of himself reunited with his former Community director Justin Lin on the set of Star Trek Beyond, but the real kicker was that Pudi was in full-on costume and make-up as one of Krall's many minions. It's uncertain at what point in the film Pudi made his uncredited cameo, but judging by the photo's background, it's likely his special appearance occurred during Jaylah's rescue of Scotty. Check it out below:

After stopping off at Starbase Earhart, a remote outpost on the fringes of Federation space, the USS Enterprise, halfway into their five-year mission, is destroyed by a powerful, unstoppable wave of unknown aliens. With the crew stranded on a unknown planet and with no apparent means of rescue, they find themselves in conflict with a new ruthless enemy who has a well-earned hatred of the Federation and what it stands for.

Star Trek Beyond will feature:
Director: Justin Lin
Chris Pine as Captain James T. Kirk
Zachary Quinto as Commander Spock
Zoe Saldana as LT Nyota Uhura
Karl Urban as LCDR Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy
Simon Pegg as LCDR Montgomery "Scotty" Scott
John Cho as LT Hikaru Sulu
Anton Yelchin as Ensign Pavel Chekov
Idris Elba as Krall
Sofia Boutella as Jaylah
Joe Taslim in an undisclosed role
Lydia Wilson in an undisclosed role
Harpreet Sandhu in an undisclosed role
Deep Roy as Keenser
Shohreh Aghdaashloo as High Command of the Federation

Star Trek Beyond is out in theaters NOW!

I saw the movie, and the cameo is very much in there.

Star Trek Beyond is probably the most fun I've had in a film for a long time.

Such a great film, go see it if you haven't.

@PesciGotPepsi - Agreed. As much as I love CBMs, it was a good break from that. Same with New Guys.

@PesciGotPepsi - I thought it was the best of the trilogy. Very fun movie with well directed action scenes and Simon Pegg's script was a nice homage to the series.

@PesciGotPepsi - Kirk's boredom with exploration and interacting with new civilizations is a death battle with a genocidal maniac. Basically a giant middle finger to the Trek fan base in the guise of a decent action movie.

@BackwardGalaxy - I was never a fan of the original Star Trek but I've enjoyed these new movies. The new movies and their interpretation of the characters IS what Star Trek is now. The old Star Trek fizzled out and died and will probably never get something like it again because of how it died out. This new Star Trek is actually successful.

What's the cameo?

@KingPatel - Thanks. I've only seen that guy in The Winter Soldier but I know he's on some sitcom too.

Yeah these were the guys that attacked Scotty. Pretty cool poster! I'm hoping to post up my review (a week late) this weekend.

I really loved this. The only thing I would recommend is to not watch it in 3D. The 3D was very distracting. But the movie and the action scenes were insane.

@Supafairy - 3D is rubbish all the time. Too bad my local cinema shows big blockbusters only in 3D

This film made me realise how much i really like Chris Pine's Captain Kirk. Probably my joint favourite character along with Sophia Boutella's character.

All these positive reviews on this thread... that mean it truly must be good because this place is brutal when it doesn't like something.

I know Simon Pegg is kind of a one trick pony but I'm a big fan of his part in these movies... this scene always makes me laugh
