The beginning of Terminator: Genisys, the first of three planned films that Paramount hopes will relaunch the beloved sci-fi franchise, is set in 2029, when the Future War is raging and a group of human rebels has the evil artificial-intelligence system Skynet on the ropes. John Connor (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ Jason Clarke) is the leader of the resistance, and Kyle Reese (Divergent‘s Jai Courtney) is his loyal soldier, raised in the ruins of post apocalyptic California. As in the original film, Connor sends Reese back to 1984 to save Connor’s mother, Sarah (Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator programmed to kill her so that she won’t ever give birth to John. But what Reese finds on the other side is nothing like he expected.

Terminator: Genisys will feature:
Director: Alan Taylor
Arnold Schwarzenegger as the original T-800
Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor
Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese
Jason Clarke as John Connor
J.K. Simmons as Detective O'Brien
Matt Smith as Tim/T-5000
Lee Byung-hun as the T-1000
Courtney B. Vance as Miles Dyson
Dayo Okeniyi as Danny Dyson
Gregory Alan Williams as Detective Harding
Sandrine Holt in an unspecified role
Douglas Smith in an unspecified role
Aaron V. Williamson as young T-800
Nolan Gross as Skynet

I'm sure this will be entertaining but I can't see it being a particularly great film

Can't wait to see which coffin will close the hardest. This, or Jurassic Park.

What's with the Ant-man advert automatically playing in every article? It's annoying as hell.

I will watch this movie. There is probably worse films than this and this Terminator cannot be worse than the third one.
