The beginning of Terminator: Genisys, the first of three planned films that Paramount hopes will relaunch the beloved sci-fi franchise, is set in 2029, when the Future War is raging and a group of human rebels has the evil artificial-intelligence system Skynet on the ropes. John Connor (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ Jason Clarke) is the leader of the resistance, and Kyle Reese (Divergent‘s Jai Courtney) is his loyal soldier, raised in the ruins of post apocalyptic California. As in the original film, Connor sends Reese back to 1984 to save Connor’s mother, Sarah (Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator programmed to kill her so that she won’t ever give birth to John. But what Reese finds on the other side is nothing like he expected.

Terminator: Genisys will feature:
Director: Alan Taylor
Arnold Schwarzenegger as the original T-800
Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor
Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese
Jason Clarke as John Connor
J.K. Simmons as Detective O'Brien
Matt Smith as Tim/T-5000
Lee Byung-hun as the T-1000
Courtney B. Vance as Miles Dyson
Dayo Okeniyi as Danny Dyson
Gregory Alan Williams as Detective Harding
Sandrine Holt in an unspecified role
Douglas Smith in an unspecified role
Aaron V. Williamson as young T-800
Nolan Gross as Skynet

Looking forward to this again after the second trailer kind of threw me off with it's stupid looking twist as the more I think of it the more I think something else is happening in the film.

Maybe i'm a sucker for Terminator but been waiting for a good sequel post T2.

The first movie came out when I was like, 7? 8? Loved the crap outta the movie. The second one came out when I was a teenager and I thought it was better than the first. Then the sequels started and became more impressive visually but started to slip story wise. Since this world exists, why don't they write different characters? It would present a different viewpoint and help flesh out the despondent mood, but what do I know?

I'm totally not interested in seeing this. Neither is my wife, a die-hard Terminator fan. She LOVES the first three (2 & 3 I thought were garbage), hates the Salvation one (eh..it was pretty bad), and says this one looks like crap. Which I agree with

@ManCalledSting...Hey! I will take insults from my family, random strangers, medical workers, hobos, the morbidly obese, children, the violently insane, but not from a stranger on the internet! Monty Burns is no Jon Snow, nor does he have a heart! ...you kinda nailed the money grubbing, but you can prove anything with facts!

“Since the beginning of time, man has yearned to destroy the sun.” Monty Burns. Humanitarian.

@Pathogen...your wife sounds cool as hell brother. I don't allow my women to talk. I'm religious. And I've never talked to a woman in my life. They find me...creepy? No, wait, disgusting. Yeah. Disgusting.

@ManCalledSting...thank you for Photoshopping out the superfluous 12th nipple kid. Join me as I clumsily attempt to rule the world! With your legendary strength ( and ring awareness ) and my lack of morals, we can't be stopped!
