TERMINATOR Is Getting A Theatrical Re-Release; Check Out The Trailer

To mark the upcoming release of Terminator: Genisys, James Cameron's original (and best?) 1984 sci-fi actioner is getting another theatrical run starting June 14. The new trailer is far too short, but it should be enough to get you to see this classic on the big screen...

In 2029, the war between man and machine has desolated the Earth, leaving humanity all but wiped out. Pockets of survivors remain – either living as slaves serving their technological overlords, or as resistance fighters attempting to overthrow the sentient defense network that controls the machines. From this wasteland, two soldiers are sent back in time to Los Angeles, 1984 in order to influence the outcome of a conflict that hasn’t taken place yet. One is an unstoppable cyborg assassin, the other a human guerrilla fighter. Serving on opposite sides of the battle, they share the same target: Sarah Connor, an unsuspecting young woman whose unborn child will become the key to saving mankind.

Screening across cinemas from June 14, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios’ The Terminator will play in over 20 territories around the world ahead of the release of Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions’ Terminator Genisys.

I don't think so. T2 has that annoying little shit John Connor for one.

They are completely different films, the first Terminator was a horror well Judgement Day was an action flick. You can't compare them

T1 and T2 are my favourite films of all time.

My first ever article was a Terminator Fancast, alas none of it came true.

The best? The first one?
Christmas . . . the second Terminator film is one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all time.

The first one . . . best? LMAO.

I find that the same crowd of people that think T2 is the best in the franchise, also believe Aliens to be the best in that franchise. But it is, in terms of suspense and storytelling, the originals that are far better.

They used the excuse of the T-1000 being "living metal" so it technically, or rather somehow, is "Artifically organic"

Like Aliens, T2 is mostly better... Mostly.

Yeah, I love T1 but for me it's no contest, I prefer T2.

Judgement Day should get a re-release. One of the best sci-fi movies ever made.

Let's think about this logically, the T-1000 went back to the past so it must be able to mimic organics enough to fool the time machine.

No other explanation necessary.

I'm with Ror 100%. T2 is child's play compared to the dark, violent, relentless vibe of T1.

@UltimaRex, "Like Aliens, T2 is mostly better... Mostly." Dude, just stop it! Your statement could be more wrong? LMAO

Other than the police station scene, T1 was really boring. I did like the line at the end, "You're terminated, [frick]er!", though.

T2 is still the best of the Terminators… I don't know many kid movies like T2, i guess they don't make em like they used to.
SpideyQuad

Ultimaterex, I think you're missing the point. The T-1 was completely encased in organic material a.k.a. flesh. That is what allowed it to travel back in time. This "little" point was left out in T2
