With "The Brave and the Bold" crossover episode airing on December 3, 2014, Andrew Kreisberg tells that even though he likes the character Nightwing, you wont be seeing Gotham, nor Metropolis anytime soon, “There are things we can do, and there are things we can't. I'm a huge fan of Nightwing. But there are cities we can use, and then there's everything else." He continues, "You won't be hearing Gotham or Metropolis on the show anytime soon.” Note that Kreisberg said 'anytime soon', so there could be a possibility that in the future a crossover could happen. If not, it will certainly be nice to see Green Arrow and the Flash crossover in December, and hopefully crossover again sometime in the distant future. Would you want to see Gotham and/or Metropolis in The Flash and Arrow? Sound off below with your thoughts!

“Barry is thrilled when Oliver, Felicity and Diggle come to Central City to investigate a case involving a deadly boomerang. Excited about teaming up with his friend, Barry asks Oliver if he’d like to help him stop Ray Bivolo (guest star Patrick Sabongui), the meta-human Barry is currently tracking. Bivolo causes people to lose control of their emotions and has been using that skill to rob banks. Unfortunately, the superhero partnership doesn’t go as smoothly as Barry expected. When Oliver tells Barry he still has a lot to learn, Barry sets out to prove him wrong by attempting to stop Bivolo alone. However, when Bivolo infects Barry and sets him on a rage rampage, everyone is in danger, and the only one who can stop him is the Arrow. Meanwhile, Iris is furious when Eddie tries to get a task force to stop The Flash, Joe and Dr. Wells agree the Arrow is a bad influence on Barry, and Caitlin and Cisco deal with a new team in S.T.A.R. Labs.”

Does any DC Superhero defend any city that's not fictional?

Probably for the best. I want to see Arrow and Flash explore the parts of the DCU that haven't been seen yet.

As a DC fan, I hate DC right now. Why not just connect the universes. You can only gain from it.

Actually it was going to be LuthorCorp from Smallville.

If the show is still on the air in 2018, they should do a Flash on Two Worlds type of deal.

It would be kind of awkward if Arrow meets Batman, Batman would be like "Dude, you are taking my thing Bro! I am supposed to be the dark and brooding one" And the Arrow would be like "bu.." But Batman would interrupt him and be like " Know your place and shut your mouth!" And the the Rock shows up (talk about crossovers) and he'll be like" Hey! Now you are stealing my thing".... Really really awkward.

@GuardianAngel

Yes theyll gain a bootleg suicide squad instead of a much better on theyre doing. Also the tv series has a higher opportubity of showcasing smaller characters. They have more freedom this way in general

Connecting the CW-verse with the cinematic universe would be a mess. I'm glad they're separate.

I see a lot of them, but i'm not sure if one of them focuses on this topic/discussion. Thanks for the heads up though!

I like the fact that the two universes are separate. My main reason is that I know that being connected is going to severely limit the creative freedom of the TV shows. I mean, I'm sure I'll end up loving what DC does with the movie universe but right now I'm much more invested and impressed with Arrow and the Flash, so I want what's best for them. If Agents of Shield came out before iron man was first released (what happened with Arrow and Man of Steel) and wasn't connected to the MCU, don't you think they would be showing a lot more comic book characters and aspects than they already are? Now I'm not knocking AoS for being connected because that is really the point of the show, but no one can look me in the eye and tell me that they have more creative freedom than Arrow does in relation to movie universe.

@DIAMONDZ

Imo their Suicide Squad was the main contributing factors to why they didnt connect them. Not that there arent the other logical ones. They were like "Yeah...no" Also their Amanda Waller isnt very good
TronVin

@DIAMONDZ

WB: "Mr. David Ayer, we want you to direct Suicide Squad."

Ayer: "Alright. I'll do it."

WB: "We want you to use the CW actors though. A really small minority of people want this."

@LubedUp I remember hearing rumors that Ian Somerholder was gonna show up as a young Bruce Wayne in the last season of Smallville, but it probably was just wishful thinking by the fans.
TronVin
TronVin - 11/23/2014, 2:59 PM
@Arrow

Not being connected gave them characters like Black Canary, Ra's al Ghul, Deathstroke, The Flash and Suicide Squad. Just because they can't use Nightwing or Harley Quinn or had to use Atom over Ted Kord doesn't mean there show is ruined. They can make do.

And as long as the Flash movie uses Hunter Zolomon and keeping Barry's mother alive with the shows using Thawne, I'm fine with having both.
TheTMan15
TheTMan15 - 11/23/2014, 3:02 PM
@Arrow

You're right, but it's much less limited if they are separate universes.

And it is a little annoying how tv takes a backseat to movies. I get it in that movies are obviously better when it comes to bringing in money, but it's annoying because tv is arguably a better median for comic characters given its structure.

Its somewhat limiting but not near as much if it was connected. They arent going to he affected by big ripples the movies would make.

Honestly, I don't we're ever going to see a live action Batman on TV again. Unless the producers on "Gotham" plan on having Bruce suit up before the show ends, which I doubt
