Plot Synopsis For GOTHAM Season 1 Episode 9: "Harvey Dent"

Fox has released the plot synopsis for Gotham's ninth episode, titled "Harvey Dent." As many of know, this episode will feature the introduction of Nicholas D’ Agosto as Harvey Dent, the future Two-Face. Don't worry about that though, when we meet him, he'll be an ally to Jim Gordon.

A few days ago, we received and posted what we thought was the official synopsis for Episode 9: "Harvey Dent", but due to a possible mix-up over at Fox, that previous synopsis we received looks like it was actually meant for Episode 10: "LoveCraft." GORDON GOES TO ARKHAM ON AN ALL-NEW “GOTHAM” MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17, ON FOX Trying to close the Wayne murder case, a young Harvey Dent (guest star Nicholas D’ Agosto) and Gordon team up, much to Mayor James’ (guest star Richard Kind) chagrin. Meanwhile, Penguin makes contact with Mooney’s (Jada Pinkett Smith) secret weapon, Liza (guest star Mackenzie Leigh) in the all-new “Harvey Dent” episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, Nov. 17 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

They really named an episode Harvey Dent? Well isn't that creative! I wonder how long it took for them to come up with that name

Eh. Gotham is my least favourite CBTV show by some distance at the moment - and it's this kind of unimaginative foreshadowing that's dragging it down. I love Robin Lord Taylor's Penguin though, and I've got faith things will get better!

@batz11 - Good to see I'm not alone in thinking this Batz! This isn't out of any DC/Marvel prejudice, just a desire to see the best quality CBTV shows! I really wish the show was more like Ed Brubraker & Greg Rucka's Gotham Central run. Now that would have made a fine show...

I like this show but it can be a little cartoony for my taste. I want it to get darker and grittier. I want it to be like the Wire or The Shield only in Gotham with Batman characters involved. Penguin is the best character but even he is a little cartoony. Smith's character is way too over the top. I like Gordon and Bullock's characters. They are the best element of the show.

This is way better than Agents of S.H.I.T. and has better dialogue/plot than the cheesy CW shows. The only advantage those have is actual superheroes show up. That's it.

How fascinating to watch a cop show where they spend episode after episode focused on a murder case that we know they will never solve. Hooray...?

The good (Penguin/Fish-driven) episodes are really good. The Bullock/Gordon episodes where they are stopping the villain of the week are profoundly bad, though... It's like sitting down to a nice lasagna that might have a toenail in it...

But seriously...



...Jesus Wept, she's amazingly well-cast. The perfect pretty face to make a man drop his guard.

I agree, the CW shows in particular are a testament to the mentality of the average fanboy. They are teenage girl orientated pastiche and little more. Everyone is cast on their good looks and youth, you can play a drinking game by the amount of times a male bare chest is revealed. They even had Adverts for Arrow with most of the cast looking like Chippendales strippers. Yet throw in a few choreographed fight scenes, cheesy costumes, digital effects and every fanboy will call it the best thing on the box and sing its praises.

Agents of SHIELD is pathetic, the most prominent agents would be at home in the Scooby Doo gang. Again all it needs is a few digital effects and corny fight scenes and fanboys claim its frikken genius.
