With the clock ticking down, The CW has released the plot descriptions for the season premieres of their DC TV slate, which returns the week of October 9th.

Supergirl kickstarts the week on Monday with an episode that will see Kara, in the wake of losing Mon-El, put more of her attention on being the Girl of Steel rather than being Kara Danvers. Then, on Tuesday, we're treated to both The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. The former will feature the return of Barry Allen while the latter will see the Legends take on Julius Caesar. Finally, on Thursday - its new night - Arrow returns and finally deals with the fallout from last season's explosive season finale.

Check out all four DC TV plot descriptions below:

“Girl of Steel” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

DREAM A LITTLE DREAM OF YOU — Kara (Melissa Benoist) deals with the loss of Mon-El (Chris Wood) by focusing all her energy on being Supergirl and the mysterious new threat against National City. Alex (Chyler Leigh) confesses a secret to Maggie (guest star Floriana Lima) about their impending nuptials. A citizen of National City has a mysterious connection to Kara, and Lena (Katie McGrath) makes a bold move. Jesse Warn directed the episode with story by Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Robert Rovner and Caitlin Parrish (#301). Original airdate 10/9/2017.

"The Flash Reborn" — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

COMING HOME — With Barry (Grant Gustin) in the speed force, Iris (Candice Patton), Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Vibe (Carlos Valdes) have taken over protecting Central City. However, when a powerful armored villain threatens to level the city if The Flash doesn’t appear, Cisco makes a risky decision to break Barry out of the speed force. However, the Barry that comes out isn’t the same Barry that went in. Glen Winter directed the episode with story by Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Todd Helbing & Eric Wallace (401). Original airdate 10/10/2017.

"Aruba-Con" — (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME — When the Legends realize that they broke the timeline, Rip Hunter (guest star Arthur Darvill) arrives with his new organization – the Time Bureau – to relieve them of duty. The Legends are thrilled to get a chance to put the team back together but a new threat arises when Rory (Dominic Purcell) spots Julius Caesar (guest star Simon Merrells) in Aruba. Sara (Caity Lotz), Nate (Nick Zano) and Ray (Brandon Routh) devise a plan to steal the Waverider back from the Time Bureau in order to try and stop Julius Caesar from conquering the modern world. Victor Garber, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Franz Drameh also star. Rob Seidenglanz directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer & Marc Guggenheim (#301). Original airdate 10/10/2017.

"Fallout" — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

Off-topic: Paramount is apparently pissed about JJ Abrams leaving to direct Episode IX.

Damn it, would they for once allow Barry Allen to do something epic himself? I actually wanted him to escape the Speed Force on his own to show how much more powerful he's become.

more crossovers but the flash and supergirl are so OP it's them and a wannabe Batman.

Supergirl is keeping it all under wraps.

"The Barry that comes out is not the one that went it". Interesting.

I am curious about how this version of Rip came to be in such a short and quick time with the Time Bureau.

Arrow of course keeping it low key, understandable.

@NinnesMBC - time is relative, he left the ship earlier, so maybe he landed...well...earlier

@NoobNoob - It is indeed relative and in the Multiverse that they've established it also takes time to cement itself.

Could be. I believe one of the showrunners said it'd be explained why as well.

@NinnesMBC - I can not remember where I read this but I understand the Rip Hunter that shows up this season is the future Rip Hunter. From his perspective he has been away from the Legends for some time maybe even years.

What I find hilarious about this is that Simon Merrells played Crassus in the STARZ Spartacus series (a heavily stylized and hyper-violent take on the the 3rd Servile War, replete with F-bombs and rampant nudity) in which Caesar (who, ironically enough, was played in the STARZ show by the Rival from Flash season 3) was his subordinate. So Merrell goes from that to playing Caesar in what amounts to a live action cartoon.

So the roundabout notion that STARZ's Spartacus and DC's Legends of Tomorrow could coexist in the same multiverse amuses me greatly.
