Though he's never officially been referred to as "Mr. Hyde", we know that's who Kyle MacLachlan's character on Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. is supposed to be. So far we've only really seen the aftermath of his uncontrollable rage and superhuman strength, but will we see an actual physical transformation when the show returns for its midseason première on March 3?

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns for a dynamic, action-packed second half of season two, TUESDAY, MARCH 3 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. After discovering an alien city with ties to his resurrection, Coulson and his team destroyed it before the forces of Hydra could claim its secrets, eliminating the villainous Whitehall (Reed Diamond) in the process. But new threats to the world have arisen, including Skye's father, Cal (Kyle McLachlan), who now seeks retribution against Coulson for stealing his revenge against Whitehall; a disturbing alliance between former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Ward (Brett Dalton) and Agent 33; the enigmatic Raina (Ruth Negga), who struggles with her transformation into something inhuman by the alien Obelisk and seeks vengeance; and Skye (Chloe Bennet), who developed mysterious new powers from the Obelisk but whose lack of experience with her new abilities may threaten the safety of those she loves. Meanwhile, Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki) and Mack (Henry Simmons) begin the next phase of a plan which seems to have grave repercussions for Coulson and his team, who are unaware that there's another mysterious force moving against them. And as Hunter (Nick Blood) is forced to make the biggest choice of his life, Coulson will find his mission threatened by this shocking endgame. In the midseason premiere, "Epidemic," Coulson's team must deal with the consequences of their war with Hydra as shocking revelations threaten to tear them apart, and Hydra makes a dangerous move that may involve a traitor in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s midst.

After seeing what they did with Absorbing Man, I have more confidence in their ability to pull off the transformation.

Hope AOS embraces more and more of the superhuman now that we have inhumans. Have him transform. Delve into how he experimented on himself too

@Blackestknight...there is literally no comparison between Flash and AoS. AoS is pure character development and storytelling. It's "here's this character, here's that character" and time travel. It's a simple show with a simple plot and simple characters. AoS is layered and complex, character development is earned, the Inhuman reveal was earned, Quake gaining her power was earned, Ward and Agent 33 was earned. Those characters, those plots were developed and earned. Even Deathlock was earned and developed. Flash is just that. .. all Flash and no substance. Reverse Flash and the time travel element are the only remotely interesting plot point. Then you have to sit through 20 minutes of poorly told love story. These are 2 very different shows and Flash isn't even close.

He is a great villain in AOS, a true sociopath. His acting is stellar and he is really frightening. Every single one of his appearance scared me.

Special Agent Dale Cooper has been great as Hyde, hopefully they do alright with the TV Budget CGI.

with the inhumans movie so damn far away I'm hoping we meet Blackbolt and Medusa before the movie cause teasing me with inhumans this far away is killing me. Hopefully we see the royal family appear in the 1st Infinity War movie in 2018. july 2019 is so far away!!

@omega... I 100% agree, that's why I told him there's no comparison. Another huge element that people keep missing is that AoS has developed very closely to a version of the Secret Avengers. They have developed a Secret Avengers dynamic while introducing an entire new element to the MCU and they have done it with quality story telling and character development. It drives me crazy when people dismiss AoS because it doesn't have something like the Scarlett Speedster zooming all over the screen. I feel like CBM fans that sleep on AoS are really missing out.

@snooper... the relationship between Ward and his family doesn't qualify as complex?
May and Colson's relationship/friendship mutual devotion do sent qualify as complex? Unraveling Hydra and it's sub organizations isn't complex? The Inhuman history and introduction? The character and plot development is not complex compared to Flash? Seriously, show a little objectivity.

I can't wait to AoS returns. What I love about AoS, The Flash and Arrow is that each show has a different vibe to them. That is what makes all of them so fun to watch. If you want the comic booky type show you have Flash. If you want a show that really character driven you have AoS and in between you have Arrow.

@jeight... that's very much what I mean. It's not simple. It's not Inception complex but there's definitely nothing simple about what's going on with AoS.

The character is called Doctor Hyde. Mr. Hyde is the character from the novel.
