"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns for a dynamic, action-packed second half of season two, TUESDAY, MARCH 3 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. After discovering an alien city with ties to his resurrection, Coulson and his team destroyed it before the forces of Hydra could claim its secrets, eliminating the villainous Whitehall (Reed Diamond) in the process. But new threats to the world have arisen, including Skye's father, Cal (Kyle McLachlan), who now seeks retribution against Coulson for stealing his revenge against Whitehall; a disturbing alliance between former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Ward (Brett Dalton) and Agent 33; the enigmatic Raina (Ruth Negga), who struggles with her transformation into something inhuman by the alien Obelisk and seeks vengeance; and Skye (Chloe Bennet), who developed mysterious new powers from the Obelisk but whose lack of experience with her new abilities may threaten the safety of those she loves. Meanwhile, Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki) and Mack (Henry Simmons) begin the next phase of a plan which seems to have grave repercussions for Coulson and his team, who are unaware that there's another mysterious force moving against them. And as Hunter (Nick Blood) is forced to make the biggest choice of his life, Coulson will find his mission threatened by this shocking endgame. In the midseason premiere, "Epidemic," Coulson's team must deal with the consequences of their war with Hydra as shocking revelations threaten to tear them apart, and Hydra makes a dangerous move that may involve a traitor in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s midst.

But...isn't character development is a good thing? They're giving him something to do aside from fix stuff and play video games with Fitz.

I can't look at Mack without seeing Luke Cage. I know i should get over it but i can't. His words and mannerisms in this scene just screams of Bendis's Cage. Mike Colter is a good actor and i'm sure he'll do a good job but man, i can't help but think Marvel missed a chance here.

@TheAmbassador

I agree....for some reason Mack and mockingbird are given some sort of ulterior motives that are putting them against the team.

I think the show runners ate taking a page out of the joss whedon handbook and are trying to turn fan favorite characters into antagonists. Plus maybe put them into a position where they can kill them dramatically. Like tripp....

Whedons love killing off fan favorite characters...it's a demand of emotional connection to the characters and show.

@Pathogen

compared to what?
Arrow and Gotham???

AOS is doing great and Agent Carter was awesome for a mini series… AOS might start beating out Flash soon.

@xf14 Finally, someone else that isn't eating what the studio is force feeding you. just because a show, any show, is out there...doesn't make it good. So what if it ties into the movies? So far I've only seen it as a gimmick with no real consequence. The characters are cardboard. There is so much better television out there that I just marvel (see what I did there) at the idiots who claim "like omg, this is the best show evurrrrr"

Mack has questioned Coulson's authority since the beginning so this outburst seems justified. This seems like a longshot but what if we're looking at a split in SHIELD? A previous report said that SHIELD will be in Civil War and be pro registration. So what if SHIELD splits in half with Coulson leading the Secret Warriors and someone else (maybe Mack or Talbot or even Ross) leading the government sanctioned pro registration SHIELD/HAMMER. This could also potential set up Season 3 of AoS with the Secret Warriors fighting against Pro SHIELD and Registered super powered brings.

@slickrickdesigns Those shows are crap, too. None of the CB shows out there are any good (mainstream superhero ones, I'm talking about...Walking Dead is excellent)
I will say I"m hopeful for Daredevil, since Netflix makes some great shows now, shows of consequence. Arrow, FLash, these marvel shows...they are all disposable crap

To each their own, if your not into these comic shows then you shouldn't care about their news…
I am totally into this show… AOS, Agent Carter, Flash, Always sunny in PA and Workaholics are the only shows i watch anymore. TV is crap all together…

PS RIP Trip!
