Will The Death Of [SPOILER] Set Up Mockingbird's Spin-Off 'MARVEL'S MOST WANTED'?

MARVEL TV has recently been teasing as to why Bobbi and Hunter leave the S.H.I.E.L.D. team and become fugitives of justice. Thanks to some clues given about the upcoming episodes we might know why exactly the team will be changed forever.

On the midseason premiere of Season 3 we saw that President Matthew Ellis reunited with Director Coulson. They discussed about the global concern of Inhumans spreading, for some this was a nice crossover with the MCU, but for me it was quite small. The idea of having the President of the United States appear in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. only to have a little meeting with Coulson was ridicolous.

Connecting the dots there is potential for a major event that could set up Bobbi and Hunter's upcoming spin-off. What would put you in EVERYONE's most wanted list? Easy, killing the President of the United States. I think that the plan of Gideon Malick is to kill President Ellis and in the way frame Lance Hunter and Barbara Morse.

This would cause not only Bobbi and Hunter being wanted by the U.S. Government but also their own friends. This is a crazy theory and it might probably not happen, but here is my evidence about this:

1. Most Wanted's Sypnosis

MARVEL’S MOST WANTED (aka Mockingbird)

STUDIO: Marvel Television

TEAM: Jeffrey Bell (w, ep), Paul Zbyszewski (w, ep), Jeph Loeb (ep), Jim Chory (ep)

LOGLINE: Centers on Bobbi Morse (a.k.a. Mockingbird) and Lance Hunter of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., two ex-spies and ex-spouses who are on the run with no friends, no S.H.I.E.L.D. and a long list of enemies looking to claim a bounty on their heads. Able to trust no one but each other, Bobbi and Hunter form an uneasy alliance with Dominic Fortune, a rogue adventurer with a wealth of resources and even more adversaries, who agrees to protect them so long as they help him with his own agenda. These two heroes will help anyone in need, all while trying to uncover the conspiracy that put their own lives in jeopardy. CAST: Adrianne Palicki, Nick Blood, Delroy Lindo.

The sypnosis talks about them two being hunted and with a bounty on their heads, aswell S.H.I.E.L.D. trying to hunt them. They're out of friends and they must uncover the conspiracy that put their lives at jeopardy, this could be a conspiracy about the murder of the President.

2. AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Episode 13 'Parting Shot' Sypnosis

THE S.H.I.E.L.D. TEAM WILL CHANGE FOREVER,

ON “MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.” ON ABC

“Parting Shot” – Bobbi and Hunter become ensnared in an assassination plot after tracking Malick to Russia. As S.H.I.E.L.D. races to save the lives on the line, the team is changed forever, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” TUESDAY, MARCH 22 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EDT) on the ABC Television Network.

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars Clark Gregg as Director Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Agent Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Nick Blood as Agent Lance Hunter, Adrianne Palicki as Agent Bobbi Morse, Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie and Luke Mitchell as Lincoln Campbell.

Guest starring are Powers Booth as Gideon Malick, William Sadler as President Matthew Ellis, Ravil Isyanov as Anton Petrov, Kristof Konrad as General Androvich, Ivo Nandi as Inspector Duval, Bethany Joy Lenz as Stephanie Malick, Endre Hules as Prime Minister Olshenko, Julia Aks as waitress, Roman Varshavsky as FSO agent and Vladimir Orlov as Russian soldier.

”Parting Shot” was written by Paul Zbyszewski and directed by Michael Zinberg.

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format with a 5.1 channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to the airdate.

As you can read in this sypnosis, Bobbi and Hunter become involved in an assassination plot, the tagline says the S.H.I.E.L.D. team will be changed forever and Powers Boothe (Gideon Malick) and William Sadler (President Matthew Ellis) are guest starring. This could create a real conflict that ties in with the MCU in a big way.

Do you think that Bobbi will be on the run for "murdering" the President of the United States? Is Gideon Malick intelligent enough to frame S.H.I.E.L.D.'s best tactical agents?

The murder of the president would be pretty nuts

That would be an interesting hook for the show.

Could be the president, seems too obvious and predictable though...

It could be the president. But if he gets killed, it could create bigger problems in MCU connection. This event will not be acknowledged in the movies. Maybe it has nothing to do with Civil War. Or maybe it is final catalyst that brews Civil War.

If it has nothing to do with the movie, maybe there's a failed assassination attempt at president, framing Bobbi and Hunter for that.

If it actually happens, then the MCU connection will not make sense, as a successful assassination of a President is a bigger event than 2 heroes fighting for a law, involving officials like the president himself.

There's going to be a big twist where its revealed the President is an inhuman and Bobbi and Hunter do actually have to kill him. Or there is an inhuman coming up who can shapeshift and pretends to be the President and lets himself get killed off in public by Bobbi and Hunter whilst the real President is killed by Hydra.

Either way this show sounds lame. Still wish Palicki was playing Wonder Woman. I mean, dayum.
