The Mandalorian is arguably the best thing to come out of Disney+ thus far, and while we're sure the first live-action Star Wars TV series would have been amazing even without The Child, it's fair to say that Baby Yoda was a major highlight. That first episode cliffhanger was jaw-dropping, and the mysterious alien would go on to steal all our hearts.

Now, Hot Toys has unveiled its life-size replica of the Force sensitive creature the Mandalorian has been tasked with protecting, and this promises to be an essential purchase for fans.

In this gallery, we take a look at some detailed shots of the surprisingly realistic replica as well as the accessories you'll get with it... just be prepared to start saving now!

The hyper realistic and articulated collectible figure is meticulously crafted based on the appearance of the Child in The Mandalorian.

Standing at 36cm tall, this collectible figure features an amazing likeness with riveting fine details, allowing fans to recreate iconic moments from the highly acclaimed live-action series.

The detail on the figure is amazing, and it was inevitable that a life-size version of the mysterious character would be revealed sooner rather than later given the response from fans.

Priced at $350, it's certainly on the expensive side, and a firm release date has yet to be revealed. All we know is that it's been pencilled in for an August 2020 - January 2021 debut!

As well as a replica of The Child, many fans would love to get their hands on the Mandalorian's now iconic helmet. There are a handful out there, but they're extremely expensive!

Of course, collecting items like these isn't exactly a cheap hobby, so thank goodness for Black Series figures and Funko Pops.

Seriously, how cute is this thing? Baby Yoda looks set to be a top merchandise seller for a long time to come, and any fears about something bad happening to this Force sensitive Child can hopefully be put to the back of our heads as a result.

Seeing what creative fans do when they get their hands on him will be a highlight, though.

As you can see, the figure comes with two pairs of interchangeable ears, movable head and arms, skillfully tailored outfit, a silver knob from the Razor Crest ship that the young alien loves to hold, a Mythosaur emblem necklace, and a variety of interchangeable hands to pose or hold the items.

There are a few props which are notable by their absence (his soup, for example!), but if you've been dreaming of having your own Baby Yoda, then this should definitely fill the void in your life!

If Hasbro have the rights to Star Wars action figures.....how can Hot Toys produce these things?

@tmp3 - They can't for whatever reason. If they could they'd do it in a second. Hasbro has forced Lego to stop producing single SW figures on several occasions.

@Nebula - if a lego figure is an action figure then this must be too.....
