THE MANDALORIAN Season 2 Will Reportedly See The Return Of Ming-Na Wen As Fennec Shand

Ming-Na Wen will reportedly return as ruthless mercenary Fennec Shand for the upcoming second season of The Mandalorian.

The character was briefly introduced in one of the less well-received episodes of the first season, only to be shot and left for dead by Toro Calican as part of his scheme to double cross Dyn Jarren. However, right at the end of "The Gunslinger," we did see a mysterious figure approach Shand's lifeless body, leading to speculation that she may still be clinging to life.

Now, The Hashtag Show reports that the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. alum has indeed filmed scenes for season 2 of the Disney+ Star Wars series. No details are provided beyond that, but with Calican already six feet under, it's entirely possible Fennec will look to take vengeance on our Mando hero and "The Child" instead.

That Hashtag Show also reveals that we will see Sandtroopers and Imperial Gunners during the second season, which obviously suggests that Moff Gideon has more troops at his disposal than we realized.

The Mandalorian Season 2 is set to premiere this October on Disney+, and will also see the debut of Rosario Dawson as fan-favorite force-wielder Ahsoka Tano. How do you guys feel about Fennec Shand returning to action? Let us know in the comments.

To me, the "death" felt cheap and I didnt believe it.

I hope she gets more to do, I liked her in season 1, but I felt like she was wasted and didn't get to show off more of her physical prowess and cool/serious demeanour.

She had a very cool but shortlived helmet. That's all I have to say.

@Nebula - That helmet was dope. Very Star Wars-y

Makes sense, we basically see that teased at the end of that episode. Hope she is utilized a lot more/better this time around, as she was kind of wasted. One of my few nitpicks from the great first season.

@HeavyMetal4Life - I've actually seen it split whether those legs at the end were Greef's, Gideon's, or someone else (even Boba). I feel like maybe it was supposed to have been one of the former but they realised after the fact that they could do something else with it.

@Nebula - I doubt it would be Greef, but Gideon or Boba is something that seems more plausible.

The show does't doo too much flashbacks except to tease stuff like Din Djarin's past so I think she will be back in some way. I just hope it is explained how whoever found her was still able to save her life after being shot and left there for hours.
