Sophie Turner Says She'll Put A "Little Twist" On 'Jean Grey' For X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

The actress has already spoken about her fondness for what Famke Janssen did with Jean in the previous X-Men movies, but last night at the Game Of Thrones season 5 première she hinted at the new direction she'd be taking the younger version of the character.

Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark on HBO's Game Of Thrones) has already spoken a little about landing the role of a younger Jean Grey in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse, stating that she was going to be true to Famke Janssen's portrayal of the character as much as possible. She elaborated on this a little at the Game Of Thrones season 5 première last night in London during an interview with Digital Spy, reiterating her love for Jannsen's take, but also promising she'll be putting her own twist on things, with "maybe bit more naivety". She also spoke about being involved in another project with such a loyal, established fanbase, saying she's very excited and hopes to "make them proud." Take a look at the video below.

Turner joins James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult; along with fellow newcomers Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler. X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27, 2016.

If she's more like the comics than that abominable actress was in the first three everything will be ok

I like her thinking. Maybe it's more that I like looking at her. Oh well.

She's a younger Jean than Janssen, makes sense.

Can't wait. Famke was dynamite in the role, but I think Sophie will really make it her own.

I hope the comments that she doesn't look like she could be a younger Famke are done with.

Yes, she is. I would bet we'll see them sweater puppies come out on GoT this season. Especially with her hangin around Littlefinger and the whores all the time.

She doesn't look anything like a young Famke Janssen.

Famke was so great as Jean Grey.
Poor writing for her (for all of the X-women) but she was so good with what she had.

Still not sold on Sophie but I think she'll give a good performance

I can totally relate to Geoffrey getting off torturing this little ginger brat. Terrible choice for Jean grey.

Im excited - been waiting a while for a proper Jean, Scott, and Storm. And smh at the people here that are so openly negative about the X-Men movies. How many times do you people have to be proven wrong for you to accept that these are good movies? I guess it will never happen cause its not you precious and perfect Disney making them ;)

@LubedUp - That kinda defeats the purpose on having a member just ask Bruce Jenner.

That other redhead on GoT would've be better, I think. Jean Grey's a brainy babe.

I agree. GoT nude scenes are very necessary. Gotta keep the "ratings" up somehow!

@Matador

Ya think? lol. Aiden Gillen is so much fun to watch though. He even made a John Cena movie watchable with 12 Rounds.
