Latino Review exclusively reports than Matthew Michael Carnahan has been hired to write the script for the Tony Scott-directed adaptation of the Mark Millar comic.

Carnahan's past credits include the war drama "Lions for Lambs" and the crime drama "State of Play". He is also working on the script to adapt Max Brook's zombie novel "World War Z."

No release date has been announced yet for this film from 20th Century Fox and Scott Free Productions.

Cool! The original State of Play or the new version with Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck and Helen Mirren?
Both were very good so it doesnt really matter but im just curious.

This movie better not effect him finishing the Word War Z script. I've been waiting FOREVER for them to start shooting that thing. WWZ better be his top priority
