Marvel released on their site that Martin Sheen has officially nabbed the part of "Uncle Ben" Parker in Marc Webb's upcoming reboot of Spider-man. Sheen joins Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, and Rhys Ifans in the cast.



The movie hits theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D.

REBOOT CONTINUATION, straight to the SPIDEY action!

Good actor but sucked in SPAWN!

Too well known for BEN, just like SALLY lol FIELD! : p

Still, my h8 is gone for this project, fingers crossed it ain't Ultimate... gotta save my H8 for FIST A$$! : p

i'm with you on this,we don't need the origin story again it can be told in the opening credits.

everyone in the whole world knows how peter parker becomes spider-man.

sally field is the wrong choice for aunt may as well.

as for the "ultimate" universe version of spidey,well i can see it happening.

they've got a new animated show starting set in the ultimate universe,the pefect way to promote spider-man before the film comes out.

Well, if he has more than a brief appearance in the film, that means too much origin for my taste. One of the reasons I am not the least bit interested in this one. High School Spiderman doesn't appeal to me.
