THE TOMORROW PEOPLE Star Joins AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. In Key 'Inhuman' Role

Now that Skye has been revealed as an Inhuman (namely Daisy Johnson/Quake), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is about to take a very different turn as the focus shifts from HYDRA to The Inhumans. Now, a leading cast member of The Tomorrow People has joined the series as an Inhuman...

Marvel.com has announced today that Luke Mitchell has joined the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as a charismatic Inhuman named Lincoln, a character who has an important role to play in Skye understanding the true extent of her transformation. It appears as if the series will now start featuring a lot of people who are secretly Inhumans (or are at least the descendants of them). How much of an impact this will have on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and The Inhumans movie remains to be seen! "With the revelations surrounding Skye’s true identity in the Winter Finale, we knew we’d be introducing more Inhumans as our story progressed," said Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. "The charming energy Luke brings to the role that will make him a character to watch as we continue our season." What do you think?

Honestly, I love the show right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if all of these developments have zero effect on the eventual movie. They'll probably completely redesign the transformations to make it more cinematic, "obelisks" might not even be mentioned, and I'd be VERY surprised if Daisy or anyone else from the show pops up in the movie.

...Or I could be completely wrong. Who the hell knows.

I'll admit, I'm getting kind of worried about the Inhumans movie. Wouldn't surprise me too much if it focused on these Inhumans and not the ones we're expecting.

"The Tomorrow People star" is sort of an oxymoron isn't it?

Still uncomfortable with the show having any reversed impact on the films, no matter how much the quality has improved (which is true).

@TheRealRemyLebeau That would be nice if they showed more Etrenals and the Deviants. After all we, saw a certain purple Eternal... =)

It might not influence the film too much.But it sure will at some capacity.I mean it won't cost them anything to include some very,very subtle nods to the show, when the film will be released, that only fans will remember.Also Feige doesn't know that season 2 of AoS focused on Inhumans?I'm sure he will want them to be connected at least a bit.

I love how this TV show has become !

Now, a couple of things i can't wait to know :

- Ward true motivation and identity;

- if The Doctor will still featured in future episodes and meet his daughter Daysy/Quake again;

- if Raina is Tigra and;

- What is Mockingbird secret;

- If Agent 33 will get her former face again;

- how will the inhuman, the Man without eyes (The Reader, maybe) will come into play.

@Malakas I'm sure there will be some little easter eggs in the movie (Marvel's always been good with that kind of stuff), but I seriously doubt it will be anything obvious or major. Marvel knows that the vast majority of their film audience doesn't watch the show, so it'd be pretty dumb for them to make them TOO connected, you know?

@ Crabnado I see Vin Diesel being Blackbolt, his voice is used for Groot so making him Blackbolt would make sense seeing as if he opens his mouth sonic booms will follow. I'm not a big Vin Diesel fan and I still could see him making a pretty cool Blackbolt, and hasn't that been what he's been shooting for all along with his social media stuff.

Either way Blackbolt, Medusa, Lockjaw, Maximus the Mad and I see this movie being pretty awesome. Lash is an awesome character I would like to see him included as well, Vin would do a good job with that character too.

@Dunejedi Yeah, I can't really say I disagree with anything you said.

There used to be a time where it was impossible to see someone like Ward or Skye or May on the big screen, sharing time with the actual Avengers. But now? Hell, let Fitz and Simmons have a movie cameo or two! Mockingbird is the obvious choice for someone to make the leap from the show to the movies (though it would've been awesome to see Tripp too).

You're right, it's definitely the next step for their shared universe. Who knows, maybe it happens sooner rather than later.

@MrFridayNights the Inhumans are awesome, the current comic book run is pretty great. I personally find them more interesting than the X-men, and with that I'm sure I'll catch some shit for that.
